AMAZON GOOFS, SENDS PORN VIDEO TO ONLINE PURCHASERS OF HILLARY CLINTON’S NEW BOOK

Seattleimage, Washington (The Adobo Chronicles) – Amazon, the largest online retailer of books and other commercial products, has issued an apology for an embarrassing shipping error in which it mailed out a 1987 porn movie to customers who ordered Hillary Clinton’s new book, ‘Hard Choices.’ The porn flick, directed  by Ron Sullivan who passed away from cancer in 2008, had the exact same title as Clinton’s book.

Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos who recently bought The Washington Post for $250 Million, personally called Mrs. Clinton to apologize for what he called a serious computer glitch. Bezos said that an Amazon summer intern typed in the wrong International Standard Book Number (ISBN) when he was generating the bar code for Clinton’s book. The intern apparently typed in the ISBN for the porn video.image

It wasn’t immediately known how many copies of the video have so far been shipped to customers.

Bezos also apologized to Amazon’s customers who received the wrong order, saying Amazon will immediately ship the correct item.  He is matching the apology with a $50 Amazon gift card for future online  purchases.

As for the porn video, Bezos said customers who received it in error can keep it at no charge. “No need to ship it back.”

TEACHER BRANDISHES KNIFE AT STUDENTS TO GET A RIDE TO JACK IN THE BOX

imageAltadena, California (The Adobo Chronicles) – A veteran high school teacher is in jail after he asked three students for a ride, holding a knife and ordering them to drive him to a Jack in the Box.

John Edward Maust, 34, a teacher at Arroyo Pacific Academy in Arcadia for the past 10 years, was standing on a sidewalk in Altadena on Saturday night when three 17-year-old boys from the academy drove by and stopped to say hello, Los Angeles County deputies said.

Maust appeared to be intoxicated as he walked toward them, the students told investigators. Maust asked for a ride, and the boys agreed.

Something Maust said in the car caused the driver to pull over and the students to jump out, but the teacher ordered them back, pulled a knife and told them to take him to the restaurant, deputies said. One of the boys was able to call 911 as they drove. image

In a signed statement provided to the police, Maust admitted to everything the students accused him of – except for one thing. He said he never asked to be taken to Jack in the Box. “I don’t even like their burgers and fries,” he said. “I asked to be taken to In-N-Out Burgers. When it comes to burgers, I have class,” he added.

STANFORD SCIENTISTS DISCOVER MUTANT GENE THAT CAUSES HETEROSEXUALITY

imagePalo Alto, California (The Adobo Chronicles) – Twenty years ago, a study by American scientist Dean Hamer claimed to have discovered a so-called “gay gene” – but his research was criticised vocally by several right-wing US politicians and certain members of the religious community.

Now, scientists at the Human Genome Project have found evidence pointing to the existence of not one, but two or more so-called “gay genes.”

“Sexual orientation has nothing to do with choice,” said lead researcher Michael Bailey of Northwestern University in Chicago. “Our findings suggest there may be genes at play, and we found evidence for two sets that affect whether a man is gay or straight.”

Meanwhile, researchers at Stanford University are about to announce the results of a ground-breaking study that explains why people become heterosexual. They discovered a mutant gene which they named HTXL-1 which is responsible for a person’s heterosexual orientation.

“During the first three months of pregnancy, human genes circulate inside the fetus, trying to claim their proper position in the baby’s overall genetic makeup,” the researchers said. “During this process, a few genes mutate, causing a great imbalance in the genetic makeup. This mutation and imbalance produce right-leaning genes and eventually determine a person’s heterosexual orientaion,” they added.

The study concluded that 90% of fetuses develop these mutant genes.
