CNN IS BIGGEST WINNER IN NFL DRAFT OF FIRST OPENLY GAY PLAYER

Atlanta, Georgia (The Adobo Chronicles) – History was made today when the St. Louis Rams picked the first openly gay player ever to be drafted in the NFL. Michael Sam will join the Rams in the next NFL season.

It was a big win for Sam and the lgbt community but the biggest winner was CNN.

As soon as NFL vice president of game operations Mike Kensil walked to the podium at Radio City Music Hall in New York and announced the selection of Sam, pandemonium filled the newsroom at CNN’s Atlanta headquarters. Producers, news directors and anchors were high-fiving each other and popping bottles of champagne.

For several weeks now, CNN was getting very nervous because it was running out of news material for its 24-hour cable broadcast. It has spent several months covering and discussing the disappearance of Malaysia Airlines Flight 370. To this day, CNN could only report that the search operations for the doomed plane or debris have turned up nothing – zero, nada, zilch. CNN anchors, pundits and self-proclaimed expert analysts have run out of theories, speculation and wishful thoughts on what happened to the Boeing 777 jetliner. They’ve also run out of props (toy planes, etc).

The NFL draft announcement would give CNN a good 90 days of continuous coverage and it has lined up guests and experts who will discuss, analyze, and speculate on the aftermath of Sam’s unprecedented draft.

CNN Newsroom has already scheduled segment topics such as ‘The Future of NFL,’ ‘Locker Room Politics’ and ‘Heterosexuality, Homesexuality and the new NFL.’

IOC MANDATES OFFICIAL ATTIRE FOR 2014 WINTER OLYMPICS

Lausanne, Switzerland – Coming under intense pressure from participating countries in the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia, the International Olympics Committee (IOC) today made a stunning announcement that no one had ever anticipated.

International sentiment has been growing each day since news of the Russian government’s crackdown on homosexuality in what was once part of the Sovet Union first broke out. This government crackdown was prompted by recent draconian laws that make the promotion of the homosexual lifestyle within Russian borders not only illegal but subject to the persecutional whims of the police and military.

Concerned about potential boycotts by Olympic teams from a huge number of countries, the IOC issued an unprecedented ruling that involves a mandatory attire for all athletes, delegates and media representatives attending the winter games.

The IOC ruling requires all athletes, delegates and media representatives to wear a special official jacket during the games’ opening and closing ceremonies, and throughout the 17-day competitions. The official jacket features the colors of the gay rainbow flag , emblazoned with the Olympic rings logo (see photo).

Russian president Vladimir Putin has not issued any statement in reaction to the IOC announcement.

NEW “MAN OF STEEL” FILM TO INTRODUCE THIRD SUPERHERO

Hollywood, California – Warner Bros. has just confirmed that the sequel to “Man Of Steel” has started filming in Toronto.

Earlier this month, “Man Of Steel” director Zack Snyder revealed at Comic Con that Batman and Superman were set to join forces in this new sequel. The movie will once again star Henry Cavill as Superman – although a new actor is likely to replace Christian Bale as the Dark Knight. Update: Oscar winner Ben Affleck will play the Batman character in the upcoming Superman sequel!

In a surprising announcement, Warner Bros. also said that a third Superhero has been added to this action-packed movie which is expected to hit the theaters in early 2015.

The third lead character will be SuperGay, whose powerful operatic singing voice can sink ships, blow up buldings and practically move mountains. Sources who have reviewed the script tell The Adobo Chronicles that a love triangle ensues in this super adventure. SuperGay falls in love with the good-looking Superman as the three, including Batman, pursue the dark forces that have descended on earth in the city of Metropolitic. The twist happens when SuperGay finds Batman in the locker room after a workout without his mask. Only then does SuperGay find out that Batman was much more good looking than Superman. SuperGay becomes conflicted with his love for Superman and Batman. Our sources refused to reveal how the movie ends to avoid a spoiler.

Openly gay country singer Steve Grand will play the role of SuperGay. In preparation for the role, Grand has taken up intensive opera singing lessons at the Toronto Conservatory of Music.
