Palit-Presidente Rally Organizers Release Aerial Photo To Show They Had Thousands Of Attendees

IMG_0370MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – While it has been reported that anywhere from 4,000 to 100,000 people attended the ‘Palit-Bise’ (change of Vice President) rally at Luneta last April 2, there has not been an aerial photo of the gathering of President Duterte’s supporters published in the news media.

In contrast, anti-Duterte supporters who recently staged a ‘Palit-Presidente’ (change of President) rally released an aerial photo of their protest to counter reports that there were only a little over a dozen attendees.

The Palit-Presidente released this photo on Palm Sunday. It does show a sea 🌊   of people brandishing the opposition’s familiar yellow color, reminding their supporters and others of the triumphant entry of Jesus Christ into Jerusalem:

San Francisco’s Gay Men Hit Hard By Down Economy

Internet grab (thanks to Michael Martin Navarrete Bello)

SAN FRANCISCO, California (The Adobo Chronicles, San Francisco Bureau) – Gay men living in San Francisco have been hit hard by the economic downturn and are striving hard to cope.

It’s not only housing rent that’s skyrocketed in this City by the Bay. The cost of everything — from groceries to gas ⛽️ have become very prohibitive.  Even fabric, to the dismay of the highly-fashionable community.

But as always, gay men find ways to weather the storm, boldly but surely.

Walking the streets of Castro, the gay district, one will notice a growing number of gay men wearing “crop top” t-shirts, a new fashion trend that uses minimal fabric (see photo).

It’s time to scan your closets and rip up (or down) your favorite t-shirts.

It’s the economy, stupid!

The Queen Of All Media Is Baaaack, With A Difference

IMG_0351QUEZON CITY, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – After almost a year, the Queen of All Media Kris Aquino is back to claim her reign on TV, or so says her new TV network, GMA.

‘Trip Ni Kris’ is the title of her new show.

No, it has nothing to do with drugs — not that kind of trip.  Rather, it is a travel-themed, lifestyle special TV show produced by APT Entertainment and broadcast via GMA Network.

Already, Aquino has taken to social media to complain about her rigorous schedule, having to take public transportation via Cebu Pacific and Philippine Airlines since she is no longer entitled the use of her ex-President brother’s helicopters.

She also misses the swarm of security that accompanied her everywhere she went as the unofficial First Lady.

In exclusive interview with The Adobo Chronicles, Ms. Aquino belied rumors that she will be promoting her Chowking business franchise in her show. “Just authentic Filipino food,” she said.
