WHY CONSERVATIVE COLUMNIST ANN COULTER HATES SOCCER MOMS

New York, NY (The Adobo Chronicles) – In her syndicated column Wednesday, conservative columnist Ann Coulter delivered what many consider to be the harshest judgment ever of the sport of soccer. Her piece comes right smack in the middle of the FIFA World Cup in Brazil. She was obviously going for the ratings.

“No American whose great-grandfather was born here is watching soccer. One can only hope that, in addition to learning English, these new Americans (referring to immigrants) will drop their soccer fetish with time,” Coulter began her sourgrape rant.  She described any growing interest in soccer to be a sign of the nation’s moral decay.

She then continued by belittling soccer moms. “Liberal moms like soccer because it’s a sport in which athletic talent finds so little expression that girls can play with boys,” she said.

Well, it turns out that Coulter’s hatred for soccer began many years ago when she started dating men. Coulter has been engaged several times but never married. All her fiancés cancelled their engagement with her and left her for … young soccer single moms.

Now you know.

Here’s Coulter’s column.

CRISTIANO RONALDO’S STALKER IS AN IMPERSONATOR

imageRio de Janeiro, Brazil (The Adobo Chronicles) – The topless stalker who welcomed Cristiano Ronaldo to Portugal’s base camp at the World Cup turned out to be an impersonator.

The stalker, Brazilian former ‘Miss Bumbum’ beauty contest winner Andressa Urach, has claimed in the past to have had an affair with Ronaldo – strenuously denied by the player. Six days later she was ejected from Portugal’s public training session at Ponte Preta’s Moises Lucarelli stadium and told to stay away from the Real Madrid star.

Well, it turns out that ‘Miss Bumbum’ was actually a former beauty pageant winner in “Miss Bon Bon,” a crossdressing competition for men in Rio de Janeiro.

Ronaldo is the most famous soccer player in the World Cup. He is both FIFA’s World Cup Best Player and an Armani underwear model.

SHAMED BY FIFA’S WORLD CUP: BASEBALL’S ‘WORLD SERIES’ TO BE RENAMED ‘AMERICAN SERIES’

imagesNew York, New York (The Adobo Chronicles) – The World Series is the annual championship series of Major League Baseball (MLB) played since 1903 between the American League (AL) and National League (NL) team champions.  A total of 109 series have been contested, with AL winning 63 and NL winning 46.  The winner of the World Series championship is determined through a best-of-seven playoff in the fall.

But people have always wondered why it is called ‘World Series’ since it only involves American teams — all U.S.-based except for the Toronto (Canada) Jays.

In contrast, the FIFA World Cup, often simply called the World Cup, is an international association football competition contested by senior men’s national teams of the members of the Fédération Internationale de Football Association, the sport’s global governing body. The championship has been awarded every four years since the inaugural tournament in 1930, except in 1942 and 1946 when it was not held because of the Second World War.  A total of 32 teams from all over the world compete for the much-coveted title.

Facing continued criticism for being  “elitist, arrogant and colonialist” both the AL and NL have finally agreed today in New York to put the label “World Series” to rest.  Beginning with the 2014 season, the playoffs will be called “The American Series” to better reflect the teams participating in the tournament.

As expected, the Toronto Jays protested the move, proposing instead that the tournament be called “The North American Series.”  The proposal was, of course, overruled by the arrogant representatives of the  U.S-based teams.  Because of this, the Jays have threatened to boycott the 2014 World Series , errr… The American Series.

The current title is held by the Boston Red Sox.
