Senator Trillanes To Sue BBC For Devastating Interview With Stephen Sackur

IMG_2340MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Philippines Senator Antonio Trillanes says he going to file a lawsuit against British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) for a recent interview he had with Stephen Sackur of ‘Hardtalk.’

During that live interview, a video of which has now gone viral across the globe, Sackur pulverized every comment and response Trillanes made regarding questions about the Philippines and President Rodrigo Duterte.

The wide-ranging interview covered topics from Martial Law, to Coups to Crystal Meth (which Trillanes seemed to have mistaken to be marijuana.)

“BBC is nothing but fake news,” Trillanes said, “and they must have been paid by Duterte supporters to have me insulted over and over by Sackur.”

Since Trillanes cannot sue Sackur because the latter is not a Filipino citizen, the senator says he will fly to The Hague to file his complaint before the International Criminal Court (ICC).

When asked by The Adobo Chronicles what his basis was for suing BBC and Sackur, he replied, “Crimes against my humanity.”

Duterte Critic Jim Paredes May Have Fathered A Child Outside Marriage

IMG_2262MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Former Apo Hiking Society band member Jim Paredes is finally coming clean.

The anti-Duterte critic and entertainer took to his social media account to admit that he may have fathered a child outside of marriage.  He however sort of justified what he did by saying that he may have been drunk when the inevitable happened.

Paredes’ tweet came on Father’s Day, a most appropriate day to open up his dirty closet.

Still, we admire his courage. Kudos!

MARAWI CITY, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Davao Bureau) – Leni Robredo herself has said that the “only power of the Vice President is to wait for something to happen to the President.”  So why is she sticking her finger in every issue and criss-crossing the country and the world as an official Philippine representative?

Well, Robredo’s spokesperson, Georgina Hernandez, has the answer: Robredo is actually a “Second” Philippine President.

“The framers of our constitution designed it that way — that our country will have two presidents — the President and the Second President,” Hernandez said. “That’s the reason Leni is called “Pangalawang Pangulo,” which all Filipinos know to translate to “Second President.”

For once, Hernandez makes perfect sense!

All hail to our Second President!
