Palit-Presidente Rally Organizers Release Aerial Photo To Show They Had Thousands Of Attendees

IMG_0370MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – While it has been reported that anywhere from 4,000 to 100,000 people attended the ‘Palit-Bise’ (change of Vice President) rally at Luneta last April 2, there has not been an aerial photo of the gathering of President Duterte’s supporters published in the news media.

In contrast, anti-Duterte supporters who recently staged a ‘Palit-Presidente’ (change of President) rally released an aerial photo of their protest to counter reports that there were only a little over a dozen attendees.

The Palit-Presidente released this photo on Palm Sunday. It does show a sea 🌊   of people brandishing the opposition’s familiar yellow color, reminding their supporters and others of the triumphant entry of Jesus Christ into Jerusalem:

UPDATED: Want A Free Donut? Buy A Copy Of Inquirer

Dunkin' Donuts Santa Monica Grand Opening

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) -President Rodrigo Duterte on Saturday, April 15 (Doha time), challenged business tycoon Lucio Tan to pay his unpaid taxes as he slammed oligarchs in front of overseas Filipino workers (OFWs).

The President also said Dunkin’ Donuts, which he said is owned by the Prietos of the Philippine Daily Inquirer (PDI), has its own tax deficiencies.

Previously, The Adobo Chronicles reported that the PDI has launched a new business model aimed at boosting the sagging popularity and credibility of its daily newspaper.

Every copy of the paper bought at stores and newsstands now comes with a free Dunkin’  Donut.

The Prieto Family owns the PDI and the local franchise of the popular American  donut chain. It also owns the franchises of Shakeys, Tia Maria, Pazzo Gelato, Gourmet Palate, Via Mare and La Tosca.

PDI is known for its biased, sensational reporting especially in its coverage of President Duterte and his administration’s policies and programs.

So, for your daily fix of sugar-coated news, buy the Inquirer.

What’s to come? A free slice of pizza or a scoop of ice cream for every copy of PDI ?

TIME Magazine Scrambles To Destroy Duterte’s Lead In Online Poll

IMG_0233NEW YORK, New York (The Adobo Chronicles, New York Bureau) – With less than two weeks remaining in its online poll on who readers think should be included in the 2017 100 most influential persons in the world, TIME Magazine has launched an offensive to destroy Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte’s No. 1 spot.

Duterte leads in the poll with 5% of the votes.  The next group of leaders which includes Mark Zuckerberg, Bill Gates, Vladimir Putin, Pope Francisc and Justin Trudeau is behind Duterte at 3%.

Donald Trump is way behind at 2% and is tied with 25 others.

Hoping that people’s hatred for Trump will pull down Duterte’s popularity, TIME editors changed the Philippine president’s profile photo on their online poll.  It now shows Duterte sporting the same dirty blonde hair which unmistakably belongs to the U.S. president’s head.

“We are confident that people will vote “No” for Duterte once they see his profile picture which would remind them of the Donald.

Meanwhile, despite efforts by a Fil-Am journalist to discourage online voters from picking Duterte, the controversial but popular president remains in the No. 1 spot.  And going strong!
