If Elected, Donald Trump Promises Tax Refunds For All Americans

IMG_6026.PNGNEW YORK, New York (The Adobo Chronicles, Washington Bureau) – The New York Times has just obtained Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump’s 1995 records which suggest he could have paid zero federal income tax for 18 years.

Trump declared a $916 million loss on his 1995 income tax returns, a tax deduction so substantial it could have allowed him to legally avoid paying any federal income taxes for up to 18 years, records obtained by The New York Times show.

In an effort for damage control, the Trump campaign immediately released a “new” campaign platform in which the real estate mogul says will put money into the pockets of American taxpayers.

“If I was able to evade paying taxes, so should all Americans,” Trump said at 3:30 a.m. from his Penthouse Suite in Manhattan.

“If elected this November, I will issue an executive order on my first day in office that would refund all federal income taxes paid by all Americans for the last 18 years.  This will surely boost more consumer spending that will guarantee a robust economy,” Trump said.

Trump advised all American taxpayers to start gathering their income tax records for the last 18 years in preparation for his massive tax amnesty.

Local And Foreign Media Blame President Duterte For Bright Philippine Financial Forecast

image.jpegMANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – It’s all President Rodrigo Roa Duterte’s fault, according to local and foreign media.  The Philippine economy is about to crash and armageddon is looming over the country.

Stocks have been on a downward trend and the Philippine peso is losing its ground compared to the U.S dollar — all because of Duterte’s foul mouth and allegations of extra-judicial killings related to his war on drugs.

Today, Duterte was again blamed by the media for a newly-released financial forecast by the Asian Development Bank and the International Monetary Fund.

Both organizations raised their respective 2016 growth forecasts for the Philippines on the back of solid economic fundamentals.

Following the conclusion of its executive board’s Article IV consultation with the Philippines, the IMF said in a Sept. 26 statement that the “outlook for the Philippine economy remains favorable despite external headwinds,” such that it raised to 6.4 percent from 6 percent previously its growth projection for 2016.

The Philippines is in big trouble, unless Duterte changes his ways.

Duterte: No Hiding Of Manila’s Street Children During Miss Universe Pageant

image.jpegMANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – It happened during the administration of President NoyNoy Aquino: Manila’s street children were hidden from the eyes of visiting foreign dignitaries. During the visit of Pope Francis and the APEC  Summit, homeless children and families were rounded up and sent on an all-expense-paid ‘vacation’ to resorts outside of the metropolis.

It’s not gonna happen under the Duterte administration. Change has come.

In January, 2017, when the Philippines hosts the Miss Universe Pageant, there will be no rounding up or hiding of Metro Manila’s street children.

In fact, if Duterte had his way, the children will be part of the festivities from beginning to end.

The ‘leaked’ plan was to have the street children line up the streets of Metro Manila to wave the Philippine flag as contestants from more than 80 countries arrive for the competition.

At the pageant finals, each of the beauties will be escorted by a street child during the parade of nations.  The children will come as they are: some barefoot, others wearing torn t-shirts and shorts, and still others with dilapidated flipflops.

A Duterte spokesperson told The Adobo Chronicles that as host, the Philippines should show the world the real situation, without any sugar-coating or artificial staging for the cameras.

Earlier, Duterte indicated that he didn’t want Steve Harvey to host the Manila pageant (At the last pageant, Harvey mistakenly announced Miss Colombia as the new Miss Universe instead of Miss Philippines.)

The Miss Universe Organization has not commented on the Duterte administration’s suggestions and demands.
