When elements call for the “overthrow” of the governmennt, that constitutes rebellion.

Well, student activists at the University of the Philippines across the country have publicly called for such overthrow.  They even have a giant memo to show for their intention (see photo).

So today, Duterte signed a still unnumbered proclamation imposing Martial Law at all U.P. campuses nationwide.

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Client records are always confidential, but plastic-surgeon-to-the-stars Dr. Vicki Belo promised to make public the names of all her clients who have undergone artificial physical transformation.

Belo made this announcement in protest against the new TRAIN (Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion) law which institutes changes in income tax.

The lady doctor said TRAIN will kill the country’s cosmetics and aesthetics industry, including medical tourism.

Belo said her extensive client list includes not just people in the entertainment sector but also politicians and their immediate family.

She says she is releasing her client list to show the expansive negative impact TRAIN would have not only on her business but on people’s basic human right to be more beautiful.

Protesting U.P. Students Expelled!

During the nationwide protest, the students displayed a ‘memorandum’ declaring Duterte and the U.S. as the “number one terrorists.”

A spokesperson for the U.P. Chancellor at U.P. Diliman said that the activists were expelled not for their political activity but for bringing shame to the state university.

In their “memo,” the students committed a grammatical error that even a third grader wouldn’t make.

The memo said, “We, student councils from across the UP Systems, declares…”

Third graders know that the verb used should have been “declare.”

There were other grammatical errors in the memo.

”We apologize to the Filipino taxpayers for using their hard-earned money to fund the education of these students,” the spokesperson said.
