Exclusive: PNoy Reacts To Senate Committee Report On Dengvaxia

2A4F842B-8A75-4A2C-809E-7D0A2CAADE59QUEZON CITY, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Ex-President NoyNoy Aquino finally broke his silence and reacted to the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee’s report on the botched Dengvaxia vaccination program which put the lives of over 800,000 Filipino school children at risk.

Senator Dick Gordon’s committee recommended that criminal charges be filed against Aquino and key members of his administration.

In an exclusive interview with The Adobo Chronicles at his Times Street residence in Quezon City, Aquino said:

”Kung alam ko lang na aabot sa ganito, sana nagpasagasa na lang ako sa tren.” (Had I known it would come to this, I should have just let myself be runover by a train.)

Aquino was, of course, referring to his botched promise that if the MRT project during his administration would not be completed on time, he’d let himself be runover by a train.

Is that promise finally coming to fruition?

PNoy To Produce New Prime-time Show For ABS-CBN

616ABBEE-12FF-42FC-A2BB-10E504139901QUEZON CITY,  Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Reacting to the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee’s report recommending that he be criminally charged for the botched Dengue vaccination program which put more than 800,000 school kids in harms way, former President NoyNoy Aquino said, it’s the “Dick Gordon Show,” referring to the Committee Chair.

That sparked a brilliant idea for the ABS-CBN Network which asked Aquino if he would be willing to be the executive producer of a new prime-time show titled, well, “The Dick Gordon Show.”

Aquino agreed without batting an eyelash.

Sources close to ABS-CBN executives told The Adobo Chronicles that the ‘Dick Gordon Show’ will be patterned after that famous American TV show, “Dick Van Dyke Show.”

Watch for its launch coming soon to a television near you.

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – During a 5-hour marathon hearing at the U.S. Senate, CEO Mark Zuckerberg told lawmakers that having a paid, ad-free version of Facebook is something worth considering.

Zuckerberg’s statement lit a bulb in Senator Grace Poe’s mind.  Now she wants Facebook users in the Philippines to pay in order to have access to this popular social networking platform.

Poe is chair of a Senate Committee that has been holding hearings on the proliferation of fake news in the country.

“By imposing a hefty fee to use Facebook, purveyors of fake news as well as trolls and bots will be discouraged from engaging in their deceitful practice,” Poe told The Adobo Chronicles.

Just how much is a “hefty’ fee, the Senator would not dare say.

But it will certainly save lots of taxpayer money spent on these endless yet fruitless Senate hearings on fake news.
