MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Malacañang has issued the following statement from President Rodrigo Duterte in response to a statement by Vice President Leni Robredo regarding the brawl between Gilas Pilipinas and the Australian Boomers.
MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Opposition Senator Risa Hontiveros has filed a new bill that would make the ban on plastic nationwide. (Some cities like Baguio now have existing ordinances banning plastic bag use by local businesses.)
But Hontiveros goes a step further. She wants to ban not just non-biodegradable plastic bags used by businesses but also plastic surgery.
”If we want to truly protect our environment, we must go all the way by prohibiting any kind of activity that utilizes plastic,” the Senator said.
Hontiveros’ bill will grandfather those who have previously undergone plastic surgery. The ban will only affect those who plan to have plastic surgery after her bill becomes law.
