Leni Deserves To Be Happy

IMG_0273Leni deserves to be happy.

So what if she is seeing someone? She’s a widow.

Who cares if she is seeing a married man as rumored?  Who are we to judge?

Let her live her life in private. Let her step down from public office. I think some people are calling that Palit-Bise.

Leni deserves to be happy 😊 . Don’t we all ?

TIME Magazine Scrambles To Destroy Duterte’s Lead In Online Poll

IMG_0233NEW YORK, New York (The Adobo Chronicles, New York Bureau) – With less than two weeks remaining in its online poll on who readers think should be included in the 2017 100 most influential persons in the world, TIME Magazine has launched an offensive to destroy Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte’s No. 1 spot.

Duterte leads in the poll with 5% of the votes.  The next group of leaders which includes Mark Zuckerberg, Bill Gates, Vladimir Putin, Pope Francisc and Justin Trudeau is behind Duterte at 3%.

Donald Trump is way behind at 2% and is tied with 25 others.

Hoping that people’s hatred for Trump will pull down Duterte’s popularity, TIME editors changed the Philippine president’s profile photo on their online poll.  It now shows Duterte sporting the same dirty blonde hair which unmistakably belongs to the U.S. president’s head.

“We are confident that people will vote “No” for Duterte once they see his profile picture which would remind them of the Donald.

Meanwhile, despite efforts by a Fil-Am journalist to discourage online voters from picking Duterte, the controversial but popular president remains in the No. 1 spot.  And going strong!

Philippine VP In South Africa To Witness Head Transplant (Palit-Ulo)

IMG_0223JOHANNESBURG, South Africa (The Adobo Chronicles, New York Bureau) – Philippine Vice President Leni Robredo and a select group of politicians are in South Africa reportedly to witness the first-ever head transplant to be performed by an international surgical team based in Johannesburg.

It will be recalled that Robredo, in a video message to a United Nations Conference, had accused the Philippine government and its National Police of a scheme known as “Palit-Ulo” (Switch Head), whereby family members of suspected drug lords are apprehended when the target individuals are not around during a raid.

Apparently, Robredo misspoke about the scheme which, in actuality, is a police strategy to let go of small-time drug suspects in exchange for information on the bigger fish fry — the illegal drug lords.

So, in order to be better informed about how Palit-Ulo is done, Robredo and her team have volunteered to personally witness the head transplant in Johannesburg.

First-hand information is always best.
