DALLAS, Texas (The Adobo Chronicles®) – The Lone Star State is suing the U.S. Supreme Court over Friday’s ruling which legalized same-sex marriage in all 50 states.

Governor Greg Abbott announced today that Texas will file a class-action law suit on Monday asking the Supreme Court to void the ruling of the Supreme Court.

“The Supreme Court has abandoned its role as an impartial judicial arbiter and has become an unelected nine-member legislature. Five Justices on the Supreme Court have imposed on the entire country their personal views on an issue that the Constitution and the Court’s previous decisions reserve to the people of the States,” Abbott said in an official statement.

“If the high court does not reverse its ruling, I will ask my Republican Colleagues in the Senate to initiate impeachment proceedings against all justices who joined in the majority decision granting LGBT Americans the same rights as heterosexul married couples.”

“No one messes with Texas,” Abbott said, “not even the Supremes.”

TALLYWALKERS OPENS IN DALLAS: IS HOOTERS ON THE WAY OUT?

imageDALLAS, Texas (The Adobo Chronicles) – The restaurant concept of female servers flaunting their your-know-what has definitely caught on quickly and has taken America by storm.  Hooters is now as famous and recognizable as McDonald’s and other food places, thanks to mostly male patrons who have made the restaurant chain their go-to place for dinner and cocktails when they are away from their families or girlfriends.

Enter Tallywackers — the first in what is expected to be a chain of restaurants featuring scantily-clad male servers. The first of its kind opened this week in Dallas, Texas.

Already, Hooters is reporting a significant decline in its patronage over the weekend.

Apparently, Tallywalkers is attracting a wide base of clients — from women and gay men to, yes, straight men.  Straight men are coming into Tallywakers in droves because they didn’t want their wives and girfriends to go to the restaurant without them.  The men are somewhat feeling insecure.

Can’t blame the men.  Tallywalkers is attracting women and gay men alike, thanks to the concept of handsome and ultra-fit men serving coctails, burgers, fries and other menu items in their tank tops and skimpy short shorts.

Hooters is reportedly calling a meeting of its restaurant managers and franchise owners to strategize on how to deal with the surprising popularity of Tallywalkers.

TEXAS LAWMAKERS: ‘WACO SHOOTOUT A HUGE BLESSING’

imageWACO, Texas (The Adobo Chronicles)  – The biker gang shootout at the Twin Peaks restaurant in Waco that killed nine and left 17 more injured is a “blessing,” according to Texas lawmakers.

State legislators made this comment as they prepared to take up a firearms open carry bill authored by Republican Rep. Larry Phillips.  The measure would allow licensed gun owners the right to open carry in most public places.

Gov. Greg Abbott and the Legislature’s strong Republican majority have pushed open carry as an important gun rights and self-defense measure. Most Democrats have opposed it, noting concerns from police in the state’s largest cities and gun control advocates about public safety. The state Senate has already passed its own open carry bill.

“We don’t need any more testimony from those who support the proposed measure, or from  those who oppose it. The Waco shootout was a sign from God to push us in approving the gun rights law,” the legislators said in unison.

“If citizens had been allowed to carry handguns and other firearms openly in public, the biker gang members involved in the shootout would have been afraid to shoot knowing that the restaurant owners and patrons would have joined in the gun fight, just like people see in Wild Wild West movies,” they added.

Expect a smooth sailing for Phillips’ bill this week. Governor Abbott says he can’t wait to sign the bill into law
