Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – With reports that Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 with 239 people on board might have flown for six and a half hours after its transponder stopped sending signals on March 8, the search for the missing Boeing 777-200ER has expanded to a vast area stretching from the Indian Ocean to as far north as Kazakhstan.

Malaysian authorities have not ruled out any theories – from mechanical problems and pilot error to hijacking and pilot suicide.  But they seemed to have missed one possible cause of the plane’s disappearance.

It took anchors and analysts from a respected U.S. news cable network to state the obvious: God may have stolen the plane.

The anchors and analysts bandied about the idea Sunday afternoon that something “beyond our understanding” happened to Malaysia Airlines flight MH 370, that “something” being perhaps supernatural maybe?

“Especially today, on a day when we deal with the supernatural,” the anchor said. “We go to church, the supernatural power of God…people are saying to me, why aren’t you talking about the possibility — and I’m just putting it out there — that something odd happened to this plane, something beyond our understanding?”

What is surprising to television viewers is that the cable news network was not Fox News. It was CNN. The Anchor? Don Lemon.

Washington, D.C. – President Barack Obama will be the inaugural guest on a new talk show on Fox News which airs Monday nights at 8pm Eastern. The new show, “Between Two Nerds,” launches on March 24.

The new show was reportedly inspired by the highly successful internet show “Between Two Ferns” hosted by  comedian Zach Galifianakis. President Obama was Galifianakis’ recent guest on the show where the President  brilliantly promoted Obamacare and  healthcare.gov.

Fox News is keeping the topic of the inaugural show under wraps but added that it will not be a comedy show.

The new show is co-hosted by Bill O’Reilly and Rush Limbaugh. Fox News declined to say whether or not the show’s title referred to the two hosts.

MARTIN BASHIR OUT, SARAH PALIN IN, AT MSNBC

martinpalinNew York, New York (EXCLUSIVE to The Adobo Chronicles) – The big news at MSNBC is the resignation Wednesday of Martin Bashir, the British journalist who became famous for the television film “Living with Michael Jackson” in which he interviewed the late pop singer over a span of eight months.  Prior to joining MSNBC, Bashir was employed at ABC. Until his resignation, Bashir was a political commentator for MSNBC and a correspondent for Dateline NBC.

Bashir’s decision to quit was prompted by a commentary he made last month against Sarah Palin, the former Republican vice-presidential nominee, in which he criticized her for statements comparing American debt to slavery, saying she deserved the same kind of humiliating and degrading treatment that some slaves faced. Ms. Palin herself, was a commentator/consultant for the rival network Fox News.

In announcing Bashir’s resignation, MSNBC issued a separate statement saying that it has hired Palin to replace Bashir. “We thought that hiring Ms. Palin to replace Bashir would show our sincerity in not condoning Bashir’s controversial comments on our network,” said Phil Griffin, MSNBC president. “It is the perfect apology, no doubt,” he added.

Bashir is no stranger to controversy. In 2008, while keynoting the gala banquet of the Asian American Journalists Association at the UNITY:Journalists of Color convention in Chicago, he remarked about how exciting it was for him to be in a room of great looking “Asian babes” and then added that he was glad he was standing behind a podium so no one could see how excited he really was.
