CYBER MONDAY: GOVERNMENT COMPUTERS ARE DOWN!

imageWASHINGTON, D.C. (The Adobo Chronicles) – There has never been such widespread  computer outage in government history as what millions of Americans are experiencing today. There are also reports of computer breakdowns in many parts of the world.

If you’re trying to renew your driver’s license online, or signing up for Obamacare, or tracking a shipment on USPS.com, good luck, you won’t be able to get through.

Dark screens and failed Internet connections are the order of the day today which happens to be Cyber Monday. You are also most likely to miss your connecting flights on your way back from your Thanksgiving holiday travel.

This is not a  case of hacking or computer virus attack.  It’s just government employees using their work computers to shop online. They don’t want to miss out on all the great deals out there.

So be patient. Better still, postpone your online government transactions till tomorrow. Join in and shop till you drop!

SINGER MILEY CYRUS USES IPAD PRO TO COVER UP

CHICAGO, Illinois (The Adobo Chronicles) – Last year, Miley Cyrus sparked outrage with her Bangerz tour when she groped backup dancers and encouraged the audience to smoke marijuana. But on Thursday night, the former Disney star upped her on-stage antics, kicking off her Dead Petz club gigs in Chicago with a big bang.

In one number, Cyrus appeared on stage at The Riviera Theater practically topless with a prosthetic penis protruding from her bottom front.

While most of the audience members went wild and cheered her on, a woman who came to the concert with teenage daughters called 911 to complain about the nudity and sexual content of the show. Chicago police responded immediately and tried to stop the concert.

Rather than ruin the entire show and disappoint adoring fans, concert producers asked Cyrus to cover up. The closest thing to a cover-up that stage managers could get hold of was an iPad Pro that belonged to one of the musicians.

Cyrus did cover up with the iPad Pro (see photo) and the show went on without any further interruption.

FILIPINOS WILL HAVE NO INTERNET CONNECTION DURING APEC SUMMIT IN MANILA

imageMANILA, Philippines  (The Adobo Chronicles) –  The country’s top telecommunications and digital service provider Philippine Long Distance Telephone Co. (PLDT) is boosting Internet connectivity at the venues of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) meetings being held in Metro Manila.

In a statement yesterday, PLDT said it has put up facilities which can provide up to 8.5 Gbps (Gigabits per second) of Internet connectivity and voice solutions at major conference venues and host hotels for the 8,000 delegates expected to attend the APEC meetings.

In order to meet this high speed capacity for the meeting, PLDT has announced to all its Filipino household customers that they will lose their Internet connection for the duration of the summit. They will receive a small amount of rebate on their next utility bill.

The Philippines has the slowest and most expensive Internet service in all of Asia, so the Aquino administration wanted to make sure that PLDT provide the visiting APEC delegates with a pleasant and worry-free Internet connection.

Yet another band-aid and show-off solution by the Philippine government to cover up its incompetency.
