Among his first tweets was about him being forced to watch CNN while in the Philippines.

But how can the President of the United States — and especially Trump — be “forced” to watch CNN?

The Adobo Chronicles caught up with Trump while snacking on his McDonald’s burger and fries on board Air Force One, enroute back to the United States, and this is what he told us:

”First of all, I could not access FOX News from my hotel room.  Second of all, I do not understand the Tagalog newscasts.  Thirdly, I saw this news reader — I think his name is Noli de Castro.  I could not stand his screaming on TV.  And this lil guy was a former Vice President?”

So there you have it. Straight from the Donald’s mouth.

Bishop Villegas Clarifies Statement On Ringing Of Church Bells

IMG_2638DAGUPAN CITY, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Baguio Bureau) – Lingayen-Dagupan Archbishop Socrates Villegas announced that church bells would ring nightly for three months in his northern district to raise alarm over a sharp increase in police killings of drug suspects.

Villegas, former president of the Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines (CBCP), said church bells would toll for 15 minutes nightly and last until Nov. 27 to rouse a citizenry “which has become a coward in expressing anger against evil.”

But Villegas told The Adobo Chronicles that he was misquoted by the Yellow news media.

“What I said was that the church bells will ring to raise alarm over the increasing incidents and revelations of sexual abuse by Catholic priests,” the archbishop said.

Eh, yun naman pala. Clarification accepted.

City Of Boston To Investigate Philippines VP Leni Robredo Over Her Claims Of Garbage Diving

IMG_2520.PNGBOSTON, Massachusetts (The Adobo Chronicles, New York Bureau) – In her recent radio program ‘BISErbisyong Leni,’ Philippines Vice President said that during her two-day stay in Boston to help her daughter settle in her apartment, they picked garbage in search of  usable items.  It is a practice called ‘garbage diving.’ (Robredo’s daughter starts school at Harvard this semester.)

Now, the City of Boston is planning to investigate Robredo for a possible criminal act.

While in general, U.S. courts have ruled that garbage diving is not illegal, it all depends on local ordinances promulgated by cities and states.

Garbage diving is not illegal in Boston EXCEPT when the garbage bins are located inside private property, in which case it would constitute trespassing which is defintely against U.S. Law.

The Boston Police Department is appealing to residents who may have witnessed the Reobredos’ garbage diving to contact its offices. Investigators are now also going through dozens of CCTV tapes looking for evidence that could implicate the VP in the commission of a crime.

Moral of the story: sometimes, it’s best to just shut up!
