Senator Leila De Lima Adds Ex-Driver/Bodyguard Dayan To Her ‘List’

MANILA, Philippines(The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Senator Leila de Lima is reportedly drawing up a “more comprehensive” and “more detailed” list of Philippine officials and personalities she believes are responsible for her arrest and detention, her chief of staff and lawyer said Thursday.

The Senator is hoping her list would be the basis for the U.S. State Department in determining which Philippine officials and personalities would be banned from entering the U.S. because of their role in her incarceration.

Today, De Lima told The Adobo Chronicles (AC) she has included her former driver-bodyguard Ronnie Dayan on her list.

The Senator had previously admitted  that she had a relationship with Dayan, citing “frailties of a woman.”

De Lima told AC that Dayan’s testimony during Congressional hearings contributed to the building of the case against her.

We’re sorry for Dayan. He may never see and experience the Land of the free, and the home of the brave.

Unless, of course, he’ll manage to resolve what appears to be an “LQ” with the Senator.

U.S. To Shut Down Guantanamo Bay, Will Move Detainees To ISP

GUANTANAMO BAY, Cuba (The Adobo Chronicles, New York Bureau) – The United States has finally succumbed to pressure and demands from the international community that its detention center at Guantanamo Bay in Cuba — mostly housing suspected terrorists — be closed permanently.

Today, President Donald Trump authorized the padlocking of the detention center and the transfer of the prisoners to a newly-launched detention facility — in space.

Earlier, Trump signed a new measure creating a 6th branch of the U.S. military — the U.S. Space Force.

Apparently, part of the new measure has also authorized the launch of the ISP. No, it has nothing to do with Internet Service Providers.  Rather, it is an orbiting satellite known as the International Space Prison.  It will dock with the existing International Space Station.

The White House told The Adobo Chronicles  that it has taken this bold step as a means of ensuring that the human race will never be bothered again by the terrorists who will be given a one-way ticket to space.

All the current detainees at Guantanamo Bay will be transfered to the ISP which will be managed by the new U.S. Space Force.

Senator Dick Durbin Wants Visa-Free Travel To The U.S. By All Filipinos

WASHINGTON, D.C. (The Adobo Chronicles, Washington Bureau) – U.S. Senator Dick Durbin is putting his money where his mouth is. Today, the Democrat lawmaker proposed to scrap the visa requirement for all Filipinos who want to travel to the United States and says he will file the appropriate Senate bill shortly.

Earlier, in a tweet expressing his support for the jailed Senator Leila De Lima, Durbin urged Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte “to stop threatening the travel” of Filipino Americans and so many others who travel between the U.S. and other nations.

”To prove that I’m not just all talk, I will sponsor a new Senate bill that would ensure the travel of all Filipinos to the U.S., visa-free. In doing so, I challenge Duterte not to make good his threat to require U.S. citizens to obtain a visa when traveling to the Philippines.  This is all in the spirit of true reciprocity,” Durbin told The Adobo Chronicles.
