SAN FRANCISCO, California (The Adobo Chronicles, San Francisco Bureau) – Now it can be told that many transport groups refused to join the scheduled one-week nationwide jeepney strike in the Philippines which started Monday.
But lo and behold, jeepney owners and operators abroad also snubbed the protest action to oppose the government’s Public Utility Vehicle Modernization Program.
The Adobo Chronicles has learned that the jeepney strike didn’t happen in New York and San Francisco. They JeepneyGuy in Mesa, Arizona was also busy at work on Monday. And so was Jeepney Jay Tee in Canada.

The impressive 10-acre resort will include a wellness center, convention center, restaurants and nightclub and more, focusing on areas such as space tourism, hospitality and technology. It will also feature 300 private residences called ‘Sky Villas’, which are available for purchase. And, in fact, all within the huge crater-shaped moon.
So plan early and schedule a trip to Dubai, ahm… the Moon!
QUEZON CITY, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Quezon City Bureau) – Quezon City has tried but failed in the past to make the Guinness World Record for the largest open-air zumba event ever, and it is not giving up.
Today, the Quezon City government announced that it will try again for the record, but with a twist.
The Adobo Chronicles has learned that a zumba event is in the works that will try to gather one million participants. The current record is held by the Provincial Government of Camarines Sur, at 13, 350 participants.
To achieve its goal, Quezon City will hold the event in the evening, starting at 9 pm when the usually hot weather cools down.
The event is named “Zumbang Gabi” (Night Zumba)!
