SAN FRANCISCO, California (The Adobo Chronicles, San Francisco Bureau) – Now it can be told that many transport groups refused to join the scheduled one-week nationwide jeepney strike in the Philippines which started Monday.
But lo and behold, jeepney owners and operators abroad also snubbed the protest action to oppose the government’s Public Utility Vehicle Modernization Program.
The Adobo Chronicles has learned that the jeepney strike didn’t happen in New York and San Francisco. They JeepneyGuy in Mesa, Arizona was also busy at work on Monday. And so was Jeepney Jay Tee in Canada.
It’s business as usual!
