LAS VEGAS, Nevada (The Adobo Chronicles, Las Vegas Bureau) – Two years ago, host Steve Harvey announced the wrong winner in the Miss Universe Pageant, proclaiming Miss Philippines as first runner-up and Miss Colombia as the winner of the coveted crown.

Well, the rest is history.  We all know that the actual winner was Pia Wurtzbach of the Philippines.

Tonight, after two long years, Harvey made it right, correctly announcing that Miss Colombia was first runner-up to Miss South Africa, the new Miss Universe.

History repeats itself, but we can always correct history!

LAS VEGAS, Nevada (The Adobo Chronicles, Las Vegas Bureau)  – Reigning Miss Universe Iris Mittenaere of France will crown her successor on November 26 at The AXIS at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas.

 She may be flashing her winning smile that night but in reality, she is not happy.  In fact, she is suing the Miss Universe Organization, saying she was shortchanged.

Mittenaere was crowned in Manila on January 29 this year. So when she passes her crown to the winner, it will end her one-year reign.

But wait, it hasn’t been a year yet — just ten months.

Precisely why she is suing for false advertising,  emotional distress and premature loss of income.
