Miss International: Back-To-Back Win For Philippines!

4DBB2123-FD1A-49AB-8653-6A4841374CF4TOKYO, Japan (The Adobo Chronicles, Tokyo Bureau) – It’s what most Filipinos were hoping for. A back-to-back win in the Miss International Beauty Pageant. A proud moment where outgoing title holder Kylie Verzosa would crown her successor, fellow Filipina Mariele de Leon.

The back-to-back happened last night. Verzosa crowned Miss Indonesia.

As for the very politically-outspoken de Leon? She was in the back of the pack, not a finalist, not a semi-finalist, no special award.

And oh, did she just re-design the country’s national costume? We can only imagine it was iron-heavy!

Spox Harry Roque And Asec Mocha Uson Agree To Tutor Each Other

7E0FC9E8-BE71-4A5B-BC4D-0D28B4DFAC01MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Tutoring is a two-way street.

We all remember newly-appointed Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque saying that going forward,  Asec Mocha Uson will be under his tutelage, especially when it comes to the important role of mainstream media.

Uson sees no problem with being tutored by Roque.  In fact, she also volunteered to tutor Roque on how to properly apply makeup.

The Spox agreed after being shown a photo of himself with Uson and President Duterte on board the plane that took them to Vietnam. The illusion of natural rosy cheeks didn’t quite work out, unfortunately.
