Age-related Memory Loss: Filipino Scientists Suggest RAM Brain Implant

IMG_4723.PNGMANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Computers mimic the human brain. And vice versa.

With this in mind, scientists at the University of the Philippines embarked on a study of age-related memory loss, and today they announced a breakthrough that will solve those “senior moments” once and for all.

The scientists believe that memory loss is the result of the human brain reaching its full capacity.  The older one gets, the more information is stored in the brain, and just like with a computer, when its memory becomes full, it starts to slow down.

The solution, they said, is to implant a chip or computer RAM (Random Access Memory) into the brain. This can add gigs of memory to the slowing human brain.

“It’s just like implanting a pace-maker for the human heart,” the scientists said. “We have both the medical and technological capability to do the brain implants.”

Today’s announcement sent the value of computer chips skyrocketing at the Philippine Stock Exchange, especially those of companies engaged in computer trade with China.

The news also eclipsed the unveiling of Apple’s iPhone X.

CHR’s Chito Gascon: Congress Violated My Human Rights

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Commissioner Chito Gascon of the Commission on Human Rights is crying foul and is accusing the House of Representatives of violating his human rights.

Gascon’s accusation came just days after the House voted to reduce the commission’s budget from millions of pesos to exactly P1,000.  That’s ONE THOUSAND PESOS.

Asked by The Adobo Chronicles which of his human rights Congress violated, Gascon responded:

“My basic human right to earn money and make a living.  How can you expect me to survive with a salary of P1,000 a year?”

Gascon plans to appeal the House decision, but in the meantime he says he has applied with the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4 Ps) under the Department of Social Welfare and Development.  Among others, the program aims to provide cash assistance to address short-term financial need of poor Filipinos.
