BREAKING: Bongbong Marcos Files Last-Minute Protest In The VP Election Recount

A8AEF626-AB67-4597-A38C-94A85CAB1377.jpegMANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – The much-awaited and delayed manual recount of votes from contested precints in the 2016 Philippine Vice Presidential elections could face yet another delay.

Today, defeated VP candidate Bongbong Marcos filed a protest with the Presidential Electoral Tribunal (PET) asking that the recount scheduled for today be stopped.

The basis of Marcos’ protest was an announcement by the Supreme Court, acting as the PET, that the recount committees will be using the Comelec’s PCOS machines in the manual recount — the same questionable equipment that were suspected of tampering with the electoral count in 2016.

The camp of Vice President Leni Robredo was eerily silent on Marcos’ latest protest.

Immigrant Groups Endorse Donald Trump’s Plan To Include Citizenship Question In U.S. Census

6BFEF730-C086-49F4-9817-3CAA68C73DA2WASHINGTON, D.C. (The Adobo Chronicles, Washington Bureau) – Democratic attorneys general in several states said Tuesday they would bring legal action to stop the Trump administration from adding a question on citizenship to the next U.S. census, a question they said would lead to serious undercounts that could reverberate for years to come.

The administration said late Tuesday it would include a question on the decennial survey that would ask whether respondents are American citizens.

But in a very unexpected reaction, the National Coalition of Undocumented Immigrants (NCUI) has formally endorsed Trump’s controversial proposal.

NCUI told The Adobo Chronicles that should the question appear in the next Census, it will ask all of its 12.5 Million members to answer ‘yes’ and say they are American citizens.

”In effect, the Census results will change the government’s policies and strategies around immigration.  With practically no undocumented immigrants to count, Trump’s anti-immigrant policies will become moot and academic,” a spokesperson for NCUI said.

So, bring it on, Mr. Trump!
