MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – The big news is that two people won the jackpot of P1.2 Billion in last night’s drawing of the 6/58 Philippine lottery (Lotto).
But the bigger news is a video of a journalist-member of the Malacañang Press Corps asking new Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo whether or not the government was willing to just give away that P1.2 Billion to the Filipino people, considering, she said, that there are 100 Million Filipinos who will therefore be receiving One Million pesos each.
Great question.
The problem is, One Billion pesos divided by 100 Million Filipinos is not One Million pesos, but just Ten pesos.
So we have a question to the MPC journalist: how many zeroes are there in One Billion?
