BOBBY JINDAL DROPS OUT OF U.S. PRESIDENTIAL RACE TO RUN FOR PRIME MINISTER OF INDIA

imageBATON ROUGE, Louisiana (The Adobo Chronicles) – Conceding that this is not his time to be president of the United States, Louisiana Governor Bobby (Piyush) Jindal today announced that he was suspending his campaign for the Republican presidential nomination.

His campaign strategy since he ran for governor has always been to project himself as a white, mainstream, conservative politician, as evidenced by the official portrait displayed in his office at the Louisiana Capitol.

Apparently, the strategy has not worked this time around in a crowded field of mostly genuine white Republicans, Ben Carson and Marco Rubio notwithstnding.

Being termed out from his gubernatorial position, his only alternative to stay in politics which is his first love, is to seek election as the next prime minister of his ancestral country of India.

How he would stack up against incumbent Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi remains to be seen, but Jindal certainly has the experience in running a successful campaign.

As of today, Jindal has authorized the setting up of an exploratory committee that would lay the groundwork for his quest to become India’s next prime minister.

CAITLYN JENNER CAN’T HANDLE PRESSURE, WANTS TO TRANSITION BACK

imageNEW YORK, New York (The Adobo Chronicles® ) – Until recently, Caitlyn Jenner had enjoyed a relatively warm reception by the transgender and larger LGBTQ community. While many raised an eyebrow at her affiliation with the Republican Party and a chorus of trans advocates rightly cautioned that Jenner’s privileged position as a wealthy celebrity made her a poor representative of the larger trans experience, most of the community welcomed having such a high-profile and potentially influential figure join the fold.

But as always, honeymoon periods don’t last very long.

Recent statements by Jenner on the Ellen DeGeneres show and on The Today Show (with Matt Lauer) demonstrating her little understanding of day-to-day transgender issues and about same-sex marriage have angered the transgender and LGBTQ communities and many have withdrawn their support for the Olympic, and now, reality TV star.

That’s a lot of pressure for Jenner. First, coming out, and now having to deal with criticism and pressure from the transgender  and LGBTQ communities.

So, she has decided to transition back.

Kim Kardashian couldn’t be more pleased at the decision of her former step father.

Meanwhile, E! Television has announced it was replacing the show “I am Cait” with “I am Bruce … Again.”

FOX NEWS REVEALS NEW REPUBLICAN PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE FORMAT

imageCLEVELAND, Ohio (The Adobo Chronicles® ) – The stage is set for the Republican presidential debate to be held at 9 p.m. on Thursday at Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland. It will air live on the Fox News Channel with moderators Chris Wallace, Megyn Kelly and Bret Baier.

The GOP  debate will feature candidates who made it to the top ten on an average of the five most recent national polls, as follows:

1. Donald Trump
2. Jeb Bush
3. Scott Walker
4. Mike Huckabee
5. Ben Carson
6. Ted Cruz
7. Marco Rubio
8. Rand Paul
9. Chris Christie
10. John Kasich

Fox News today revealed a new debate format negotiated with Trump. It will mimic the Miss Universe Beauty pageant.

Each of the candidates will pick the name of one of the moderators who will ask the first question. Each candidate will have  10 minutes to answer their respective questions.

After all candidates have had their turn, the moderators will narrow the field to the top five candidates based on viewer votes via the Internet.

Then each of the five finalists will answer the one and the same question picked from Facebook, and will have 5 minutes to do so.  The candidates will have the option to use an interpreter.

Towards the end of the televised debate, viewers will again vote to determine the winner as well as the first, second, third and fourth runners-up.

Meanwhile, CNN, which is expected to host the Democratic presidential debate, says it loves the new format but doubts that it will be able to do the same for the Democratic debate since there may not be 10 candidates.
