SAN FRANCISCO, California (The Adobo Chronicles, San Francisco Bureau) – Long before the Republican presidential field narrowed down to the last three candidates standing, The Adobo Chonicles reported on a short-lived affair between Senator Ted Cruz and Carly Fiorina. Back then, we predicted that if Cruz becomes the GOP presidential nominee, he would appoint Carly Fiorina as his VP running mate.
CHICAGO, Illinois (The Adobo Chronicles, Washington Bureau) – If you think the Log Cabin is the largest group of LGBT Republicans, think again. How about the Human Rights Campaign (HRC)?
Earlier this month, HRC, the nation’s largest LGBT civil rights organization, decided to endorse Republican Senator Mark Kirk of Illinois in his reelection bid over his opponent, Representative Tammy Duckworth, a Democrat.
Kirk is the junior United States Senator from Illinois. Previously, he was a member of the U.S. House of Representatives, representing Illinois’s 10th congressional district. Kirk is a social moderate and fiscal conservative.
Duckworth has been the U.S. Representative for Illinois’s 8th congressional district since 2013. A Democrat, she is the first Asian American woman elected to Congress in Illinois, the first disabled woman to be elected to the U.S. House of Representatives, and the first member of Congress born in Thailand.
Now, it turns out Kirk has endorsed presidential candidate Donald Trump. Ergo, HRC is endorsing Trump.
Many in the LGBT community are finally realizing that HRC does not represent the rainbow colors. Rather, it represents the red, GOP color.
Nevertheless, it is never too late for HRC to come out of the closet. Now we know.
AMES, Iowa (The Adobo Chronicles) – If you are one of those people who wondered why Sarah Palin would endorse someone like Donald Trump to become president of the United States, wonder no more.
It’s the economy, stupid.
You invest so that you gain.
Lo and behold, Palin scored a huge return on her investment in less than 24 hours after she endorsed Trump at a campaign rally in Iowa.
Today, the Republican presidential frontrunner returned the favor and endorsed Palin to become the next vice president.
“She may have failed the first time,” Trump said, “but times are a-changing. American voters are now more open to electing stupid people like myself. If I win the nomination, I know whom I will pick for my vice presidential running mate. A Trump-Palin team would be unbeatable!”
Birds of the same feather tend to flock together. And they dream big together, too.
