HOLLYWOOD, Florida (The Adobo Chronicles® ) – Yesterday, we reported that the new season series of ‘The Muppets’ will premiere next Tuesday on ABC with additional new cast featuring 12 of the Republican presidential candidates.

One candidate, Cuban American Marco Rubio, was left out of the cast.

Upon seeing the promo for the new “Muppets” with the faces of his fellow Republican candidates, Rubio immediately cried ‘foul’ and accused ABC of racial discrimination. ‘They invited and cast all the leading Republican presidential candidates except myself, a Latino,’ Rubio said. ‘What is ABC’s beef with a Cuban American?’image

ABC executives responded to Rubio, saying that the new show only had room for 12 people, considering that it already had a cast of dozens of puppets.

But  today, ABC seemed to have found its way out of Rubio’s complaint. Former Texas Governor Rick Perry just announced that he was dropping out of the presidential race, creating a vacancy in The Muppets cast.

So Rubio is in.  All is well that ends well!

SENATOR MARCO RUBIO OVERWHELMED BY SAME-SEX WEDDING INVITATIONS

MIAMI, Florida (The Adobo Chronicles) – In a recent television interview with anchor Jorge Ramos Ávalos, Florida Republican Senator and declared presidential candidate Marco Rubio answered a series of questions about same-sex marriage.

Ávalos is a Mexican-American journalist and author based in Miami.  He anchors the Univision news television program, Noticiero Univision.

During the interview, Rubio was asked whether he would attend a gay wedding if invited by someone close to  him.  The Christian senator responded that despite his opposition to same-sex marriage, he would attend a gay wedding if invited by someone he loves.

Well, just days after the interview, Rubio got the surprise of his Christian life.  Dozens of wedding invitations arrived in his mailbox at his Florida residence, all of which were from his relatives and very close friends who were gay or lesbian.  He admitted that he had no clue whatsoever that some of his beloved relatives and friends were gay. A few of the invitations came from his own campaign staff.

But as a respectable politician that stays true to his word, Rubio told The Adobo Chronicles that he would be attending each and every gay wedding he was invited to.

The senator may have gained some points there. Que bueno!

REPUBLICAN PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATES CHOOSE THEIR RUNNING MATES

WASHINGTON, D.C. (The Adobo Chronicles) – U.S. Presidential Candidates don’t normally pick their vice presidential running mate until right before their party’s national convention. But 2016 is defying the odds. And Hillary Clinton has a lot to do with it.

After Clinton announced that she was running for president, the three declared Republican presidential aspirants immediately revealed their choice for vice president, all of them women.

The Republican strategy for 2016 is to attract two powerful voting blocks — Hispanics and women. It is no wonder that two of the Republican candidates are of Hispanic heritage (Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio), and that presumptive candidate Jeb Bush had tried to identify as Hispanic in his 2009 voter registration.

To complete the election strategy, the declared Republican candidates have chosen these women to be their running mates:

Ted Cruz – Former Congresswoman Michele Bachmann of Minnesota

Rand Paul – Governor Jan Brewer of Arizona

Marco Rubio – Conservative columnist Ann Coulter

Meanwhile, The Adobo Chronicles learned from informed sources that when former Florida Governor Jeb Bush finally declares his candidacy, he will also reveal his choice of vice president, conservative author and blogger, Filipina-American Michelle Malkin. His strategy seems to be going after Hispanics, women and Asians.

It makes us wonder: in a national, televised debate among all these talkative women vice presidential candidates, who will end up having the last word?
