MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles® ) – Vice President Jejomar Binay criticized Mar Roxas for remaining in his position as Secretary of Interior and Local Governments after he had officially declared his candidacy for president of the Philippines in 2016. Roxas is President NoyNoy Aquino’s anointed successor.
“Common sense should tell Roxas that it would be inappropriate if not illegal for a cabinet official to remain in his appointed position while campaigning for political office,” Binay said. “Who knows if government funds are being used for the political campaign?”
“Roxas cannot have his cake and eat it too ” Binay told reporters.
“If he wants his cake, he can live in Makati City where the local government gives away free cake to its senior citizens during their birthdays.”
Roxas could not be immediately reached for comment.

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles® ) – Now it can be told. President NoyNoy Aquino had two separate drafts of his last State of the Nation Address (SONA). One was the two-hours and ten minute-speech he ended up delivering; the other was a short and sweet two-minute speech.
