Huge EDSA Rally Planned On First Anniversary of Philippine ECQ!

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – A non-partisan coalition of groups has announced that on March 17, it will hold a huge mass rally on EDSA (site of the historic gathering that led to the ouster of then President Ferdinand E. Marcos), to commemorate the first anniversary of the Philippines’ Enhanced Community Quarantine, or ECQ.

The ECQ was first imposed in all of Luzon island and subsequently across the country by President Rodrigo Duterte to mark the government’s response to the Covid-19 pandemic. Since then, Filipinos were banned from leaving their homes, going to malls and churches, and forbidden to travel. There were also many localized lockdowns and a host of restrictions and innovative health protocols that boggled people’s minds.

The national government’s Covid-19 policy-making body, the Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF) has surprisingly issued a blanket permit for Monday’s mass rally, provided that participants adhere to these rules:

  1. Wearing of face masks
  2. Wearing of face shields
  3. No texting or talking on cell phones
  4. No public display of affection (holding hands, kissing, hugging)
  5. No conversations or laughter
  6. Above all: strict observance of physical distancing. Health Secretary Francisco Duque will be in attendance at the rally with his tape measure to ensure adherence to the one-meter rule.

After COPYRIGHT BATTLE WITH Filipino, Prince Harry PURSUES LEGAL ACTION AGAINST J.K. Rowling!

NEW YORK, New York (The Adobo Chronicles, New York Bureau) – A small-business owner in the Philippines has found himself in a nasty copyright battle with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle over the name of his deodorant brand, “Archewell Harvatera.”

Archewell” is the name of the duke and duchess’ charity foundation, a nod to their son, Archie.

But it’s also in the name of the natural antiperspirant sold by manufacturer Victor Martin Soriano, who chose to call his product “Archewell Harvatera” last summer, a few months after Harry and Markle named their foundation in April.

But his Royalty is not stopping there.

Reliable sources told The Adobo Chronicles that Prince Charles’ youngest son is preparing a lawsuit demanding that author JK Rowling rename the main character in her “Harry Potter” series. “There can be no other Harry in the world except me, certainly not a character in a ridiculous fictional series,” the Prince said.

So, watch out, all ye people in the world named “Harry.” Or “Meghan.”
