Donald Trump Nixes Duterte White House Visit, Invites Leni Robredo Instead

C514EE63-2A86-44B5-AD97-402AD950F7D2.jpegWASHINGTON, D.C. (The Adobo Chronicles, Washington Bureau) – A wind of change has come to Donald Trump’s White House. The American President has just announced that he was rescinding his invitation for Philippine President Rodrigo Roa Duterte to visit the U.S.  Instead, Trump now wants to invite Vice President Leni Robredo.

Trump’s change of heart can only be subject to speculation.

It is possible that Trump is not happy with Duterte’s friendly relationship with China.  During his campaign and afterwards, Trump has frequently criticized China’s trade practices, even within the U.S.

So The Adobo Chronicles contacted the White House Press Office to get an idea on why Trump now wants to invite Robredo in lieu of Duterte.

”The President has been aware of Mrs. Robredo’s frequent travel to the U.S., so he knows that the Vice President is already acclimated to America’s weather and way of life,” A Trump spokesperson said. “We do not have to babysit her.”

”In addition, Trump knows that Robredo likes to go shopping just  like his wife Melania.  In between official meetings, Leni and Melania can go shopping for designers clohtes, bags and shoes.  Melania would be happy,” the spokesperson added.

Other White House sources also say that Trump wasn’t happy with a recent comment by Duterte saying that America is a ‘lousy’ country.

Kris Aquino: My Father Died For Japan

TOKYO, Japan (The Adobo Chronicles, Tokyo Bureau) – Kris Aquino came to the defense of his father Ninoy in a scathing Facebook and Instagram message directly addressed to PCOO Assistant Secretary Mocha Uson.

Aquino was protesting Uson’s posting of a video showing Ninoy being kissed by two women.  It was Uson’s way of criticizing those who have made a big deal about President Rodrigo Duterte kissing a member of the audience on the lips during a meeting with the Filipino community in South Korea.

In her message, Aquino said that his father was a hero and that he died for THIS country

Aquino was in Japan when she made that statement.
