Raissa Robles Declines National Book Award

44DAFB8B-E7C0-4E27-A5DC-477A08499932MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – It would have been the highlight of her career as a book author.  Raissa Robles’ book on the Marcos Martial Law, ‘Never Again,’ won the book award for non-fiction.

The award was given out by the National Book Development Board (NBDB).

But alas, NBDB is a government agency, and so it would be a conflict of interest for Robles to accept an award from the government that she criticizes and despises.  Furthermore, the agency is funded by taxpayer money and she constantly questions foreign travels of Duterte officials on taxpayer dime.

So, being the ‘investigative journalist’ that she claims she is, she decided to decline the award.

Well and good!

Well, in an exclusive interview with The Adobo Chronicles, the Rapplerette admited that Duterte takes her breath away.

’I’m a fan of the President, and what you see me do at press conferences does not reflect my true feelings for Duterte.  It’s just what I’m being paid to do by Rappler.”

So there you have it, folks — have a breather and listen to this great song:

It means taking pleasure on the misfortune of another. This was how Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte described the loss of Miss Philippines Mariel de Leon in the recently-concluded Miss International Beauty Pageant

De Leon has been vocal against the Duterte administration, including PCOO Asec Mocha Uson.

We caught up with Inday Sara at the Davao City airport and we asked her what she thought of Vice President Leni Robredo.

Her response: “SiyaDinFraud.” (She is also a fraud).
