MILEY CYRUS: ‘SENATOR TOM COTTON AND I ARE NOT DATING!’

HOLLYWOOD, California (The Adobo Chronicles) – Celebrity romances are always a favorite topic on social media and gossip tabloids. In most cases, news media are also in on them.

Last month, Philippine President Aquino was reported to be dating newly-crowned Miss Philippines Universe Pia Wurtzbach after the couple was seen having dinner — in the company of many other friends. Neither the bachelor president nor the beauty queen confirmed the dating status.

Now, singer Miley Cyrus is rumored to be dating Senator Tom Cotton, the same Tom Cotton who authored the  open letter signed by some 47 Republican senators to Iran, undermining the Obama administration’s nuclear negotiations with that country.

The Arkansas senator once again made headlines this week when he said the gay community needs to get a perspective, given that in Iran, one can get executed for being gay.

The rumors started when Cyrus posted Cotton’s phone number on her Twitter account asking her fans to call the senator to express why freedom is “important to us & our country.”

In a phone conversation with The Adobo Chronicles, Cyrus unequivocally denied that she and Cotton were dating. “Just because I have his phone number doesn’t mean we’re seeng each other,” Cyrus said.  She added: “Besides, I don’t date guys who wear purple shirts with a red tie.”

So there you have it, straight from the horse’s mouth!

But you can still call Senator Cotton at (202) 224-2353 to express your outrage over his gay comment.

HOOSIERS PICKET INDIANA PIZZA SHOP, URGE CONGRESS TO PASS DOPA

WALKERTON, Indiana. – Hundreds of LGBT pizza-loving protesters picketed a small-town pizza shop in Walkerton, Indiana today after its owners announced they will refuse to sell pizza to same-sex couples.

The shop announced their new business policy shortly after Governor Mike Pence signed the state legislation, a.k.a. Religious Freedom Restoration Act,  giving businesses the right to refuse services to gay men and women on the basis of religious belief.

The O’Connor family, who owns Memories Pizza, says they have a right to believe in their religion and protect those ideals. “If a gay couple came in and wanted us to provide pizzas for their wedding, we would have to say no,” says Crystal O’Connor. She says that because she’s a Christian, she and her family don’t support gay marriage and that is their right. The O’Connors say they just don’t agree with gay marriages and wouldn’t cater them if asked to.

The protestors urged the Indiana State Legislature to repeal the discriminatory new law, while urging the U.S. Congress to pass legislation to protect the sanctity of pizza.  “Congress needs to pass a Defense of Pizza Act (DOPA) immediately,” the protesters said.

BARACK OBAMA, HILLARY CLINTON REUNITED AT WHITE HOUSE MEETING

imageWASHINGTON, D.C. (The Adobo Chronicles) – President Barack Obama and Hillary Rodham Clinton met privately at the White House for about an hour Monday afternoon.

The White House says the former rivals-turned-colleagues discussed “a range of issues” that included Clinton’s personal emails controversy.

The Adobo Chronicles can now confirm with certainty that 2016 was not among the issues discussed.

Our inside sources, however, confirmed that after the private meeting, Clinton was seen touring the various rooms at The White House, including the Lincoln Bedroom, the Oval Office and the State Banquet Hall with her private interior decorator.

In addition, she asked to be shown the White House room where the email server is located.

Finally, she was treated to a ‘taste test’ of sample menus from White House Executive Chef, Filipina American Cristeta Comerford.

You know, in the likely event that she and Bill will have a homecoming in 2017.
