Trillanes May Be Suing BBC, But Adobo Chronicles Will Not Sue Site that Plagiarized Us (With Update)

IMG_2395MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Philippine Senator Antonio Trillanes may be suing BBC for that infamous interview he had with BBC’s Stephen Sackur, but The Adobo  Chronicles has no plans of suing ourdailyrevelationsph.com for plagiarizing our ‘story’ on Trillanes.

It appears that the site in question copied a bulk of our Trillanes ‘story’ and passed it as legit news.

Our followers — or most anyway — know that we are a satire site.  We have disclaimers all over our site that help our readers distinguish between what’s fact and fiction in our ‘stories.’

We are a site that’s patented under U.S. laws as satire, so any attempt to copy us without appropriate credit and disclaimer is a violation of U.S. law.

But we’re not in the business of lawsuits, so we’ll let the plagiarism just pass us by.

We’ll let the brilliant analysis of memebuster make the case for us.

We hate fake news, so we take our satire work very seriously.

Oh, and ourdailyrevelationsph.com, you can apologize, and we’ll accept.

UPDATE: ourdailyrevelationsph.com has apologized and we have accepted the apology.

Senator Hontiveros Bats For Unlimited (UNLI) Rice

IMG_2386.PNGCAGAYAN DE ORO, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Davao Bureau) – Opposition Senator Risa Hontiveros is headed for a direct confrontation with fellow lawmaker  Cynthia Villar.

Villar recently proposed that Philippine restaurants stop the practice of serving UNLI (unlimited) rice as part of their menu in order for the country to achieve self-sufficiency.

On Wednesday, Hontiveros said:  “Ang masasabi ko lang ay mayroong unli-rice pero walang unli-Martial Law (What I can say is that there can be unli-rice but there can’t be unlimited martial law).” The senator made the comment at a forum at the Xavier University Little Theater attended by a mixed audience composed of the academic community and internally displaced persons (IDPs).

Reached by The Adobo Chronicles, Villar said that Hontiveros cannot contradict herself. “She cannot favor unli-rice but oppose UNLI-Martial Law. It should be one for all and all for one.” she said.

So Madam Hontiveros, make up your mind. If no unli-Martial Law, there should also be no UNLI-rice!

Senator Trillanes Wants A Repeat Interview With BBC

Voltes V — L-R: Trillanes, Pangilinan, Drilon, Hontiveros, Aquino

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – With his background as a soldier, Senator Antonio Trillanes is not taking the criticism about his interview on BBC sitting down. He’s fighting!

Those who watched the Trillanes’ live interview with BBC’s Stephen Sackur know that the senator was reduced to pieces as the British talk show host pulverized his every comment and response to questions.

Today, Trillanes demanded that he be given a second opportunity for a live interview with Sackur. After all, Pia Wurtzbach had several attempts before she finally became Miss Philippines, and eventually Miss Universe.

Only this time, Trillanes wants all of the Voltes V Senators present during the live interview.

The Voltes V includes Senators Kiko Pangilinan, Risa Hontiveros, Franklin Drilon and Bam Aquino.

Like a true soldier, Trillanes knows to request for backup when he needs it!

BBC has not responded to Trillanes’ challenge.
