Trillanes May Be Suing BBC, But Adobo Chronicles Will Not Sue Site that Plagiarized Us (With Update)

IMG_2395MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Philippine Senator Antonio Trillanes may be suing BBC for that infamous interview he had with BBC’s Stephen Sackur, but The Adobo  Chronicles has no plans of suing for plagiarizing our ‘story’ on Trillanes.

It appears that the site in question copied a bulk of our Trillanes ‘story’ and passed it as legit news.

Our followers — or most anyway — know that we are a satire site.  We have disclaimers all over our site that help our readers distinguish between what’s fact and fiction in our ‘stories.’

We are a site that’s patented under U.S. laws as satire, so any attempt to copy us without appropriate credit and disclaimer is a violation of U.S. law.

But we’re not in the business of lawsuits, so we’ll let the plagiarism just pass us by.

We’ll let the brilliant analysis of memebuster make the case for us.

We hate fake news, so we take our satire work very seriously.

Oh, and, you can apologize, and we’ll accept.

UPDATE: has apologized and we have accepted the apology.
