BREAKING: KIM DAVIS MAY BE BACK IN JAIL SOON!

imageHOLLYWOOD, Calfornia  (The Adobo Chronicles® ) – She may just have been released from county jail, but Kim Davis, the Rowan County clerk who defied a Supreme Court ruling asking her to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples, could end up back behind bars.

To celebrate her release after six hard days in prison, Davis held a press conference with Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee. At the press conference, Davis cried and waved to the crowd,  the crowd cheered and waved cardboard crosses, and the rock band Survivor tune ‘Eye of the Tiger’  played in the background, just like in the movie, ‘Rocky III.’

But the band said it didn’t give Davis permission to use the song. “NO! We did not grant Kim Davis any rights to use ‘My Tune -The Eye Of The Tiger,’” the song’s co-writer, Frank Sullivan said on the band’s Facebook page. “I would not grant her the rights to use Charmin! C’mom Mike, you are not The Donald but you can do better than that -See Ya really SoooooooonnnnnnN!!!!!!,” the post added.

And so the ‘Rocky’ saga continues for Davis, in court.

If convicted for unauthorized  public performance of a copyrighted  material, she could face a homecoming in county jail, perhaps, along with Huckabee.

AChron: Do you still believe that marriage is only between a man and a woman?

Davis: Most definitely.

AChron: Do you believe that your God and ours is a loving God?

Davis: For sure.

AChron: Do you believe that God created all men and women to live in this world on equal footing?

Davis: Yes, but only straight men and women.

AChron: Do you believe in God’s commandment to “love thy neighbor as thyself?”

Davis : It’s God’s law, so yes.

AChron: Do you believe in the 7th commandment, “Thou shalt not commit adultery?”

Davis: Again, it’s God’s law, so yes.

IN NORTH CAROLINA, TAKING ‘SELFIES’ IS CONSIDERED A CRIME

imageCUMBERLAND COUNTY, North Carolina  ( The Adobo Chronicles® ) – Taking ‘selfies’ has been officially declared a mental disorder — selfitis — by the American Psychiatric Association (APA) early last year.  Now, it is also a crime, at least in North Carolina.

A 17-year-old boy is facing 10 years in prison after being charged as an adult for having sexually explicit photos of a minor – himself.

Cormega Copening, from North Carolina, where the age of criminal responsibility is 16, is facing two counts of second-degree sexual exploitation and three counts of third-degree exploitation. The third-degree charges of sexual exploitation of a minor actually stem from the pictures Copening had of himself. Each count is a felony charge carrying at least two years in jail.

“In North Carolina you are considered an adult at 16 years old as far as being charged,” said Sgt. Sean Swain of the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Department. “But to disseminate and receive sexually explicit texts, photos or videos, you must be over 18.”

So when in North Carolina, be discreet when taking selfies, especially if you’re under 18. You will not only be diagnosed with selfitis. You will also be put behind bars.
