MEXICO CITY, Mexico (The Adobo Chronicles, San Francisco Bureau) – Just minutes after meeting with Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump was held by Mexican immigration authorities and prevented from returning to the United States.

While reports were sketchy, sources at the U.S. State Department said that Trump is being charged for violating Mexican immigration laws.  The candidate and his entourage didn’t have the appropriate entry and exit permits.

While Americans do not need a visa to visit Mexico, Mr. Trump was on a highly-classified list of foreign nationals needing special visiting permits.  By virtue of his campaign rhetoric against immigrants and Mexico, Trump has been declared ‘persona non grata’ and  is therefore not eligible under the visa-free policy of Mexico.

The Trump campaign has sought the help of Hillary Clinton and the U.S. State Department to intercede with the Mexican government to allow the GOP candidate to return to the U.S.

“It was a clear clase of misunderstanding,” the Trump campaign said.

EJD faces full force of the law (Photo: Internet grab)

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Ignoring world-wide concern and criticism regarding extra-judicial killings (EJK) in the Philippines, President Rodrigo Roa Duterte has issued a new executive order in support of his campaign to rid the country of crime, drugs and any form of threats to peace and order.

Titled, ‘An Act To Criminalize EJD,’ the executive order gives full authority to the Philippine National Police to jail — even without any warrant of arrest — any Filipino or foreign citizen caught sleeping or passing out in public after excessive drinking of alcohol.

EJD stands for “extra-judicial drinking.”

So if you’re gonna drink, don’t leave home.  Stay in or face the full force of the law.
