TORONTO, Canada (The Adobo Chronicles, New York Bureau) – Donald Trump’s campaign promise of building a great wall along the U.S.-Mexican border is being matched by Justin Trudeau. The Canadian prime minister today announced that Canada will build a wall along its southern border with the United States.
The Canadian government’s announcement came just a day after Tuesday’s U.S. elections in which Trump was elected the 45th president.
Since Trump was announced the winner in the presidential contest, tens of thousands of Americans have started to act on their promise to move to Canada if Trump were elected. Last night, the Canadian immigration website crashed due to unprecedented visits, mostly from U.S. citizens.
Fearing that that Canada will be overwhelmed by Americans fleeing the U.S., Trudeau said that his government has decided to build a wall all along the U.S.-Canada border.
But unlike Trump’s plan, Trudeau said that Canada will pay for the building of the wall. (Trump has said that Mexico will pay for the southern border wall.)
Meanwhile, pro-Clinton Californians are pressuring Governor Jerry Brown to make good on his promise that if Trump is elected, he will build a wall around the entire state of California.
WASHINGTON, D.C. (The Adobo Chronicles, Washington Bureau) – They promised, and they delivered. Thousands of Americans who had promised to leave the country if Donald Trump were elected president flew out of various international airports in the U.S. the day after Tuesday’s elections.
HONOLULU, Hawaii (The Adobo Chronicles, Honolulu Bureau) – The latest bombshell announced by Philippine President Rodrigo Roa Dueterte was a supposed plot by Filipina American millionaire Loida Nicolas-Lewis and Hungarian American billionaire George Soros to unseat him, a plan that was apparently being hatched by Filipino Americans.
