WASHINGTON, D.C. (The Adobo Chronicles, Washington Bureau) – Losing to Joe Biden in last November’s presidential elections was devastating to Donald Trump. Losing a second time to Joe Biden AND Kamala Harris was crushing!

Sources close to The White House’s West Wing told The Adobo Chronicles that the President has locked himself all day today in the Oval Office, refusing to talk to anyone, and shouted at a White House aide who knocked on his door to serve him some diet Coke and French fries. “Go away,” he reportedly told the aide.

Trump’s erratic behavior began soon after TIME magazine announced its pick for this year’s “Person of the Year.” Shortly before the announcement, TIME released its shortlist for this year’s award: Trump, Biden, “frontline health care workers and Dr. Anthony Fauci” and the “movement for racial justice.” Our sources said the President was 100% confident he would win the title.

Analysts say that the biggest blow to Trump was not just losing to Biden a second time, but that he also lost to Harris, a Vice Presidential candidate, a woman and a person of color.

Trump now owes Americans not one, but two concessions.

TINIKLING NOW AN OLYMPIC SPORT

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Olympic sports has always been about skill and that’s why the Olympic Committee decided to add two new sports to its official line-up starting with the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Breakdancing gas been added to the official list of Olympic competitons, along with Tinikling, considered the Philippines’ national dance.

Tinikling has long been recognized as a dance requiring the highest level of skill, with dancers navigating through bamboo poles clapped together in an ever-increasing tempo.

Will this mark the beginning of an increased gold medal haulfor the Philippines?

WHY AMERICANS ARE PANIC-BUYING FOR TOILET PAPER

SAN FRANCISCO, California (The Adobo Chronicles, San Francisco Bureau) – It happened in the spring at the onset of the coronavirus pandemic in the U.S. It’s happening again as more and more states are mandating stay-at-home instructions to deal with increasing cases of Covid-19.

What’s happening? Consumers are seeing empty supermarket and warehouse shelves where toilet paper used to abound. Americans are in a panic-buying mode.

But why toilet paper, one might ask.

Well, unlike in countries like Japan, American homes are not equipped with bidets in their toilets, and Americans have no concept of the dipper or pitcher (tabo) like it is used and practiced in countries like the Philippines. So they are fully dependent on the good old toilet paper to clean up after a dump.

America, the most advanced and industrialized country in the world, apparently needs to keep up with Japanese toilet technology, or perhaps adapt to its former colony the Philippines’ tabo culture.

Especially in a pandemic..
