Trump To Duterte: Start Your U.S. Visa Application Now

WASHINGTON, D.C. (The Adobo Chronicles, Washington Bureau) – The White House has confirmed that President Donald Trump has extended an invitation to Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte to visit the U.S. so that both leaders can personally discuss the importance of U.S.-Philippines ties.

The invitation  was  extended during a “very friendly” phone call between the two leaders this weekend.

Trump suggested that Duterte contact the U.S. Embassy in Manila to start the application process for his visa to visit the U.S. (Filipinos need a visa to visit America.)

It will be recalled that Duterte had said that he was once denied a visa to visit his girlfriend in the U.S. back when he was in college.  But now that he is president, the chances of his being granted a visa is better than 99%.

Trump, on the other hand, is expected to visit the Philippines in November this year to attend the East Asia Summit.

While U.S. citizens are not required to secure  a visa to visit the Philippines, Duterte hinted that there might be a change in immigration policy, thereby requiring Trump to secure a Philippine visa when he visits in November.

“Unless, of course, Trump decides to include the Philippines 🇵🇭  in the U.S. Visa Waiver Program which would exempt Filipinos from securing a visitor’s visa to enter the U.S.,” Duterte said.

Duterte: Donald Trump Needs A Visa To Attend ASEAN Summit In The Philippines

img_9016MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau)  — US Vice President Mike Pence says President Donald Trump will be attending a summit with the leaders of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, or ASEAN, in the Philippines in November.

Pence says Trump will also attend the East Asia Summit that follows the regional meetings in the Philippines that same month.

But not so fast.

President Duterte has instructed the Department of Foreign Affairs and the Bureau of Immigration to make sure Trump has a valid visitor’s visa when he arrives in Manila.

While US citizens are not required to secure a visa to visit the Philippines, Duterte said it’s payback time for America and Trump whose travel policy is known to be anti-immigrant and unfair to Filipinos. (Filipinos have to secure a visa to visit the US.)

“Since I have not been granted visa to visit the US years ago and Filipinos have to go through the eye of a needle just to get a visitor’s visa to the US,  why should Trump be able to come to the Philippines without a visa,” Duterte said.

Duterte’s anti-Trump policy has the support of 100% of the ASEAN leaders.

Hawaii Seeks To Ban Donald Trump From Visiting The State

HONOLULU, Hawaii (The Adobo Chronicles, Honolulu Bureau) – Don’t mess with Texas.  But don’t mess with Hawaii either!

Unnamed sources close to The Adobo Chronicles revealed a very serious plan by the Hawaii State Legislature to issue a travel ban against U.S. President Donald Trump.

The impending move follows a decision by a Hawaii federal court halting the implementation of Trump’s revised executive order imposing a travel ban on certain Muslim countries.

In retaliation, Trump supporters have launched an online campaign urging a boycott of the   Paradise state.  The campaign uses the hashtag #BoycottHawaii.

Well, a retaliation deserves a corresponding retaliation, hence the proposed travel ban against Trump.

In a draft joint resolution by the Hawaii upper and lower chambers which was leaked to AdoboChron, Trump will be barred from flying into any of the islands’ commercial and military airports.  If Trump manages to land in the islands, he will be taken into custody and jailed in a special maximum security prison cell built inside the Animal Quarantine facility in Aiea on Oahu.

As for Trump’s International Hotel in Waikiki, the state government is reportedly planning to sequester the property and put it up for sale to the highest bidder.  The bidding will be open to individuals and groups of all nationalities and religious faith — Japanese, Chinese, Arabs, Muslims, Christians, etc.
