QUEZON CITY, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Not Subject To Fact-checking by Rappler – ABS-CBN has just announced that it was renaming its new prime-time TV series, “The Junketeers.”
The new show features Vice President Leni Robredo and other politicians and former government officials on their exciting journey through cities in Europe.
The first episode of the series documents the group’s visit to the Holocaust Memorial in Berlin, Germany. The group was, however, criticized for photos taken showing that they were all smiles, despite the Memorial’s supposedly somber mood.
Robredo later apologized for the insensitivity of the photo shoot. And so did Ifugao Congressman Ted Baguilat Jr. who first posted the Holocaust Memorial photo on his social media account.
Soon thereafter, ABS-CBN decided to rename the series, “The Apologists”

But the online news source whose media license was recently revoked by the Securities and Exchange Commission for violating the Philippine Constitution was not as quick to tag Leni Robredo as ‘fake VP.’ This, despite a report from The Manila Times and other Mainstream Media sources, that Robredo’s lead over Bongbong Marcos has begun to narrow in the ongoing recount of votes.
”We need to take the time before we can make that determination,” Ressa said. “First, we need to fact-check The Manila Times. What are we in power for?
Rappler’s got werpa!
