Among his first tweets was about him being forced to watch CNN while in the Philippines.

But how can the President of the United States — and especially Trump — be “forced” to watch CNN?

The Adobo Chronicles caught up with Trump while snacking on his McDonald’s burger and fries on board Air Force One, enroute back to the United States, and this is what he told us:

”First of all, I could not access FOX News from my hotel room.  Second of all, I do not understand the Tagalog newscasts.  Thirdly, I saw this news reader — I think his name is Noli de Castro.  I could not stand his screaming on TV.  And this lil guy was a former Vice President?”

So there you have it. Straight from the Donald’s mouth.

Philippine President Duterte To Sue American Singer-Actress Bette Midler For Libel

A20777A2-E83B-4D31-9CAE-48F3991E99DAMANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – While international news media scrambled to obtain a video of President Rodrigo Duterte singing a love song during the gala dinner for heads of state attending the ASEAN Summit in Manila, American singer-actress Bette Midler meddled in Philippine affairs through a nasty tweet.

Midler called Duterte a “murderous dictator.”

Duterte is known for his extreme tolerance for criticism, but he has had enough.

Today, the popular Filipino leader said he has instructed his attorney general to file a libel case against Midler.

Although Midler is in the United States, Duterte said he is filing the case “from a distance.”

Incidentally, “From a Distance” is one of Midler’s hit songs.

How appropriate!

Should Karen Davila Quit As A Journalist?

31116065-7878-45D2-9666-A148949932BF.jpegMANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Journalists are supposed to be neutral, fair and balanced in their reporting, and should not be openly identified with any particular political party or ideology.

But in a single tweet, “investigative journalist” Raissa Robles accused broadcast journalist Karen Davila of being a Duterte supporter.C397F649-1E76-4467-86CC-16FD05102DB7

Well, that makes Davila unqualified to be a journalist.

Unless, she can refute Robles’ claim.

We’re waiting, Karen…
