Melania Trump Is Main Speaker At One Million Women March Vs. Racism

WASHINGTON, D.C. (The Adobo Chronicles, Washington Bureau) – A One Million Women March is being planned in Washington, D.C. this weekend, with First Lady Melania Trump as main speaker.

The march is being organized by a coalition of  national and state women’s groups in protest of Donald Trump’s racism.

Trump has been publicly attacking four women-of-color Members of Congress, chiding them to “go back to where they came from.”   A recent Trump rally saw members of his audience chanting “Send her back!”

Of the four lawmakers, all are U.S. citizens and only one was born outside of the United States.

Melania, who hails from Slovenia, became a U.S. citizen in 2006, after marrying The Donald.  She is expected to condemn her husband’s racist remarks.

Will Donald also send Melania back to where she came from?

Kim Kardasian Undresses The Traditional Japanese Kimono

NEW YORK, New York (The Adobo Chronicles, New York Bureau ) – In order to impress, some people dress up — others dress down. Reality star Kim Kardasian-West chooses to do the latter.

West has been criticized for launching a new line pf shapewear which she is calling kimono.

Kimono is of course the Japanese attire associated with royalty, respect, dignity and cultural tradition, and it is universally recognized as a  Japanese symbol, almost like the country’s flag.

It is therefore not surprising that West’scattempt to trademark her kimono has been met with fierce opposition on either side of the Pacific Ocean.

As a protester aptly declared: Kim has undressed the kimono!

Philippine President Named Supreme Leader of Gay Conversion Therapy World Council

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (The Adobo Chronicles, San Francisco Bureau) – Members of the World Council of Gay Conversion Therapy (WCGCT) meeting here this weekend unanimously named Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte their Supreme Leader.

The designation — made in absentia — came after the gay conversion therapists learned of Duterte’s latest public pronouncement. He has claimed he was once gay but “cured” himself of homosexuality in controversial remarks made during a trip to Japan.

The popular President mocked his political opponent Senator Antonio Trillanes IV by saying the latter’s movements show he is homosexual. Duterte also reportedly “confessed” that he was gay before he met his ex-wife Elizabeth Zimmerman.

“Good thing Trillanes and I are similar. But I cured myself,” Duterte said during his speech. “When I began a relationship with Zimmerman, I said, this is it. I became a man again.”

Conversion therapy is the pseudoscientific practice of trying to change an individual’s sexual orientation from homosexual or bisexual to heterosexual using psychological or spiritual interventions.

Duterte’s designation is expected to boost the conversion therapy movement which is fast declining in the U.S. with more and more states making the practice illegal.
