Revealed: Kris Aquino’s ‘Princess’ Role In Hollywood Film, “Crazy Rich Asians”

1B1FE260-41ED-41CC-AC37-4050CD049043HOLLYWOOD, California (The Adobo Chronicles, Los Angeles Bureau) – Many of her fans were looking forward to her moment of fame, a la ‘Sunset Boulevard’: “Mr. DeMille, I’m ready for my close-up!”

Well it wasn’t going to be quite a Norma Desmond moment, but still, it was a Hollywood dream film for Kris Aquino, playing a cameo role as a princess in “Crazy Rich Asians.”

She announced it on her Instagram account, saying she has signed a deal to appear in this new Hollywood film project based on the novel by Kevin Kwan.

With about 7 luggages in tow, she posed for the cameras as she was checking in for a flight to Singapore where the movie was being filmed.

Also in her check-in baggage were several designer gowns fit for her royal Hollywood film debut.

But alas, it was all a misunderstanding.

Her cameo role was for an orderly at the Princess Hospital where the rich Asians go for their medical care.

For the uninitiated, an “orderly” is an attendant in a hospital responsible for the nonmedical care of patients and the maintenance of order and cleanliness.

She didn’t have to bring any wardrobe from Manila.  Her costume was waiting for her at the set.

Leni: We Should Have Preserved The Marcos Bust

E30830B2-0626-4740-A555-BD867D4BD6AEBAGUIO CITY, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Baguio Bureau) – Social media exploded with angry criticism of Vice President Leni Robredo when she said that the ruins of Marawi City should be preserved to remind the Filipino people of the heroism of the soldiers and the devastation brought about to the residents by the terrorist siege.

In an exlusive interview with The Adobo Chronicles in Baguio City, Robredo seemed to be coherent and consistent with her ideas and comments.

”And yes, we should have preserved the Marcos bust in Pugo, La Union, to remind the Filipinos and tourists about the late president’s Martial Law. A mere book by Raissa Robles does not do justice to this significant era in our history,” the VP said.

The monument was a 30 m (98 ft) concrete bust of the late president erected along Marcos highway leading up to Baguio City. It was blown up in 2002 under suspicious circumstances.

Leni Robredo’s Apology

IMG_9834QUEZON CITY, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – In a rare display of humility, Vice President Leni Robredo today issued an apology for mixed messages that have been attributed to her on mainstream and social media.

First, she said her office was ready to help in the rebuilding of Marawi.

Then hours later, she said the Marawi City ruins should be preserved.

In a statement issued exclusively to the readers and followers of The Adobo Chronicles, Robredo said: “I am very sorry for the confusion I created.  All the while, I thought ‘rebuilding’ and ‘preserving’ meant the same thing.

”My spokesperson and mouthpiece, Georgina Hernandez is on vacation so she was not able to filter my statements.”

Apology accepted.
