QUEZON CITY, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – In a rare display of humility, Vice President Leni Robredo today issued an apology for mixed messages that have been attributed to her on mainstream and social media.
First, she said her office was ready to help in the rebuilding of Marawi.
Then hours later, she said the Marawi City ruins should be preserved.
In a statement issued exclusively to the readers and followers of The Adobo Chronicles, Robredo said: “I am very sorry for the confusion I created. All the while, I thought ‘rebuilding’ and ‘preserving’ meant the same thing.
”My spokesperson and mouthpiece, Georgina Hernandez is on vacation so she was not able to filter my statements.”
