DONALD TRUMP FINALLY BREAKS SILENCE ON SYRIAN REFUGEE CRISIS

imageNEW YORK, New York (The Adobo Chronicles® ) – You can’t run for president of the United States and be silent about a worsening international crisis like the exodus of Syrian refugees trying  to escape torture and violence perpetrated by a repressive regime.

But for Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, it is such a huge dilemma considering his recent campaign pronouncements against illegal immigration and promise to deport all 11 Million undocument immigrants now living in the U.S.

Finally today, the Trump campaign found the right balance between its candidate’s anti-immigrant rhetoric and his compassionate stance on refugees.

Speaking to reporters at the penthouse suite of the Trump Towers in New York City, The Donald said that if elected president, he will allow the entry of one Syrian refugee into the U.S. in exchange for every undocument immigrant deported by the Department of Homeland Security. He even offered to open his real estate properties as temporary housing for refugees.

Trump may have finally answered questions from political opponents and  critics on how exactly he plans to deport all the 11 Million undocumented immigrants. He may have also accidentally demonstrated his brilliance on international diplomacy.

FILIPINO AMERICAN SAM MILBY WILL PLAY THE ROLE OF THE HULK IN NEW HOLLYWOOD MOVIE

HOLLYWOOD, California  (The Adobo Chronicles® ) – Move over, Bruce Banner. Marvel Comics revealed Friday that the Hulk in its new Totally Awesome Hulk comic is teen genius Amadeus Cho.

Marvel teased the identify of the character over the past month, though speculation about Cho being the new Hulk started much earlier in the summer. But Marvel has now officially confirmed this, and in doing so, makes history: this is the first Marvel series with an Asian-American lead character.

Amadeus Cho, also known as Mastermind Excello, is a fictional character appearing in comic books published by Marvel Comics. Created by writer Greg Pak and artist Takeshi Miyazawa, the character first appeared in Amazing Fantasy vol. 2 #15 (January 2006). He usually appears as a supporting character or sidekick in books featuring The Avengers, or individual members of that group, such as Hulk or Hercules.

So the next big question is, who will  play the role of The Hulk in the new film version that Marvel Pictures and Universal Studios will be filming starting this fall? Someone to replace Edward Norton who played The Hulk in the previous film.

Of course, it has to be someone who’s Asian or Asian American.

Several names have been floated around including John Cho (Star Trek), Harry Shum, Jr. (Glee) and Randall Park (Fresh Off The Boat).  But Universal and Marvel thought none of them have the muscular build required of the Hulk character.

So it was decided that Filipino actor Sam Milby be given the role.

Milby has been making films in the Philippines and has been trying to break the ice in Hollywood to no avail.  Well, his time has come. He will definitely make all Filipinos proud.

CALIFORNIA WELL ON ITS WAY TO BECOMING AN INDEPENDENT REPUBLIC

imageSACRAMENTO, California (The Adobo Chronicles® ) – Forget about the proposed ballot initiative creating four Californias. How about making the Golden State an independent republic?

It’s just a matter of time before the world’s eighth largest economy  will become a country separate from the rest of the United States.

Already, there is a growing consensus especially among the Republicans that a great wall be built between California’s southern border with Mexico.

Now, a grassroots movement is fast gaining momentum to build a similar border between California and Oregon, which would mean the only thing left to do is to build an eastern border between California and its neighboring states, Nevada and Arizona.

The Oregon grassroots movement is fast taking shape in the real estate business.  Oregonians blame Californians for the sharp rise in home prices in their state.

‘For Sale’ signs posted in front of houses for sale in Oregon now include a mandatory ‘No California’ warning, meaning that purchase offers from Californians will not be entertained by home owners and real estate brokers.

In recent years, there has also been a significant increase in the number of Californians moving to Oregon. ‘Californians are taking over our state,’ one long-time resident of Oregon told The Adobo Chronicles®.

Oregon’s state assembly is in the process of drafting a new law that would authorize the building of a border wall with California to prevent further migration from south of the Oregon border.
