Steve Harvey Questioned Over Missing Beauty Crown And Sash

SEATTLE, Washington (The Adobo Chronicles) – There is a missing beauty crown and a sash, and television host Steve Harvey is being questioned by authorities for it.

It has nothing to do with Miss Universe. Rather, it is about Miss Washington USA. Stormy Keffeler who had earlier won the crown resigned after a previous DUI arrest surfaced. However, the first runner-up could not be crowned because Keffeler said both the crown and the sash mysteriously disappeared.

Harvey, many will recall mistakenly crowned Miss Colombia in last December’s Miss Universe pageant only to correct himself and say that Miss Philippines had actually won the contest.

Authorities said Harvey is not a suspect in the disapperance of the Miss Washington USA crown and sash. “We’re just trying to pursue all possible leads to find the missing items,” they said.

SAN FRANCISCO, California (The Adobo Chronicles) – Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD), an international advocacy group fighting against the damaging and oftentimes fatal effects of motorists who drive under the influence (DUI) of alcohol, today announced it was suing the popular ride-sharing company Uber for the sudden rise in alcholism.

The California chapter of MADD claims that people are drinking twice as much alcohol than they were prior to Uber.

Bartenders have confirmed that their customers are now more likely to order a second, third or fourth alcoholic drink because fewer of them drive their cars to the bars.

“The so-called designated driver arrangement never really worked,” according to one bartender at Renegades, a gay bar in San Jose, “because nobody really wanted to have a night out with friends at a bar just drinking orange juice or bottled water.”

“My customers would usually say, ‘I shouldn’t, I’m driving,’ when offered another round of drinks.  Now they don’t think twice about ordering a second glass of wine or cocktail,” he said.

Unofficial figures from police departments across the U.S. and elsewhere seem to show as much as a 50% decline in DUI cases since Uber drivers started hitting the roads. In just the last month, DUI checkpoints have made zero arrests.

Only in California will companies be sued for doing something good!

SAN ANTONIO, Texas (The Adobo Chronicles® ) – If you’ve ever been stopped at a sobriety checkpoint, you know what the police officer will have you do to test if you’ve been driving under the influence. Step out of your car, point to your nose, walk a straight line, recite the alphabet backwards and so on.

But a Texas man who was obviously drunk escaped arrest by doing everything the officer asked him to do with flying colors.

Including doing a pas de bourrée!
