AFTER CROWNING GAFFE, DONALD TRUMP BUYS BACK MISS UNIVERSE ORGANIZATION

LAS VEGAS, Nevada (The Adobo Chronicles) – Just days after buying out all of NBC’s shares of stock in his Miss Universe Organization, Donald Trump sold all stocks to WME/IMG which now owns the international pageant held last night in Las Vegas. That was in September.

Fast forward to the night of December 20. Pageant host Steve Harvey (‘Family Feud’) announced the wrong winner, resulting in a brief crowning of Miss Colombia. Then, in a moment never before seen in a live telecast of an international contest, Harvey apologized and announced he had misread the cue card, and that the real winner was Miss Philippines.

The rest is history, with the crowning gaffe dominating the news and social media. The sagging popularity of the Miss Universe pageant suddenly shot up the roof of Planet Hollywood.

Being the shrewd businessman that he his, Trump saw a great investment opportunity and immediately bought back the Miss Universe Organization for twice the price he sold it for.

“I can easily recover my investment,” Trump said, adding, “I will turn Miss Universe into the most successful and profitable business beginning in 2016, assuming I don’t become president of the United States.”

MR. TRUMP IS MATH-CHALLENGED

L-R: Cruz, Trump, Rubio

WASHINGTON, D.C. (The Adobo Chronicles) –  Donald Trump has said that 68% of his supporters would vote for him if he ran as an independent rather than a Republican.  But what he is not saying is that this doesn’t mean he’ll win the nomination.  Let’s do the math:

One recent poll shows that Trump had 27% support among Republican primary voters.  Senator Ted Cruz, who is currently in second place, had 22% support while Marco Rubio had 15% support.

So, if 68% of Trump’s 27% supporters would vote for him as an independent, that would result in an  18% support which puts him second to Cruz.

If the remaining 9% of Trump’s supporters (27% minus 18%) voted for Cruz, that would put the Senator at 31% — a double digit lead over the real estate mogul.

If, on the other hand, the remaining 9% voted for Rubio, that would mean the Florida senator would have 21% support which would put him in second place and Trump in third.

It looks like Trump missed a few of his math classes when he was attending college at University of Pennsylvania!

FIRST AMENDMENT: DONALD TRUMP WANTS TO BAN FOOLISH PEOPLE FROM AMERICA

MOUNT PLEASANT, South Carolina (The Adobo Chronicles) – First, Donald Trump said the United States should close its borders to Mexicans and immigrants. Then he called for the banning of Chinese birth tourism. Then he called for shutting out all Muslims from entering the United States.

Now, the Republican presidential candidate and frontrunner says America should ban all foolish people,  referring to those who advocate freedom of speech under the U.S. Constutution’s First Amendment.

In a campaign speech in South Carolina this week, Trump suggested that “we should close the Internet in some places as a way to stop terrorism. He says he will call Bill Gates and others who know what’s going on.

Trump said he expects many people to criticize his Internet closure proposal on First Amendment grounds, but “these are foolish people. There are a lot of foolish people  and they should all be banned from America.” This latest statement didn’t sit well with many of his own supporters, especially the foolish people who keep on voting for him in the polls.

Trump continues to surge in the polls with a double-digit lead over his closest rival  Senator Ted Cruz.
