REPUBLICAN PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATES CHOOSE THEIR RUNNING MATES

WASHINGTON, D.C. (The Adobo Chronicles) – U.S. Presidential Candidates don’t normally pick their vice presidential running mate until right before their party’s national convention. But 2016 is defying the odds. And Hillary Clinton has a lot to do with it.

After Clinton announced that she was running for president, the three declared Republican presidential aspirants immediately revealed their choice for vice president, all of them women.

The Republican strategy for 2016 is to attract two powerful voting blocks — Hispanics and women. It is no wonder that two of the Republican candidates are of Hispanic heritage (Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio), and that presumptive candidate Jeb Bush had tried to identify as Hispanic in his 2009 voter registration.

To complete the election strategy, the declared Republican candidates have chosen these women to be their running mates:

Ted Cruz – Former Congresswoman Michele Bachmann of Minnesota

Rand Paul – Governor Jan Brewer of Arizona

Marco Rubio – Conservative columnist Ann Coulter

Meanwhile, The Adobo Chronicles learned from informed sources that when former Florida Governor Jeb Bush finally declares his candidacy, he will also reveal his choice of vice president, conservative author and blogger, Filipina-American Michelle Malkin. His strategy seems to be going after Hispanics, women and Asians.

It makes us wonder: in a national, televised debate among all these talkative women vice presidential candidates, who will end up having the last word?

HILLARY CLINTON’S HISTORIC ANNOUNCEMENT

imageWashington, D.C. (The Adobo Chronicles) – The race for the White House is beginning to shape up, and it’s looking like it’s going to be another Bush vs. Clinton.

Jeb Bush has announced that he is going to seek the Republican Party nomination for President in the 2016 elections.

Although everyone pretty much knows that Hillary Clinton will be the standard bearer for the Democratic Party, the former First Lady and Secretary of State has not officially declared her candidacy.

Until now.

Speaking from her residence in New York, Clinton officially made the announcement everyone was waiting for.

“Today, I am prepared to officially announce that I will make an announcement when it is time to make that announcement.”

Any questions?

REPUBLICAN SENATOR RAND PAUL SWITCHES PARTY TO DEMOCRATIC

Rand Paul

Washington, D.C. (The Adobo Chronicles) – Senator Rand Paul, the Republican junior senator from Kentucky is now the Democratic junior senator from Kentucky.

Paul officially left the GOP yesterday and pledged his allegiance to the party of the Donkey. It comes as no surprise to Democrats and many in Washington political circles who clearly saw this coming sooner than later.

The switch came shortly after Paul publicly declared his unequivocal support for President Barack Obama’s recent announcement seeking to re-establish diplomatic relations with and lift the 50-year-old embargo against Cuba. “The embargo obviously never worked,” Paul said, echoing Obama’s announcement two days ago.

Paul has been selectively choosing issues like the incarceration of men of color, voting rights, marijuana legalization, the prison industrial complex, and now Cuba — siding with the Democrats.

Although many believe that Hillary Clinton’s nomination as the Democrats’ standard bearer in the coming 2016 presidential elections is pretty much a foregone conclusion, a challenge to such nomination could be going in favor of the younger, Southern male and brunette senator.
