BREAKING: SINGER CHRIS BROWN REFUSED ENTRY IN HONG KONG!

imageHONG KONG  (The Adobo Chronicles® ) – Grammy award-winning singer Chris Brown was finally  allowed to leave the Philippines after a three-day delay due to a fraud complaint against him for a cancelled concert last New Year’s Eve. Brown was in Manila Tuesday for a sold-out concert .

The 26-year-old R&B artist had been stuck in Manila after running afoul of a corporation, run by an influential religious group, Iglesia Ni Cristo,  that filed a fraud complaint against him for a cancelled New Year’s Eve gig. He and his Canadian promoter were paid a $1 Million advance for the New Year’s Eve concert.

The delay meant he missed a performance in Hong Kong that was scheduled for Wednesday evening.

But when it rains, it pours.

When Brown arrived in Hong Kong Friday, he was not allowed by authorities to disembark from his chartered plane and was asked to leave immediately. Chinese immigration and customs officials barred the American singer from entry because of the missed concert Wednesday night.

Many fans were terribly upset that the Hong Kong gig was cancelled. Although concert ticket purchasers were given refunds, they still complained that the cancellation caused them great irreparable emotional distress. Many took a leave of absence from their day and night jobs just to be able to attend Brown’s concert.

As of this writing, it wasn’t clear whether or not Brown’s plane has left Hong Kong, and if it has, where it was headed.

IF ELECTED PRESIDENT, DONALD TRUMP WILL AUCTION OFF AIR FORCE ONE ON EBAY

ON BOARD THE TRUMP JET (The Adobo Chronicles® ) – During her acceptance speech for the Republican vice presidential nomination in 2008, Sarah Palin said that she put the jet purchased by Alaska’s former governor up for sale on eBay as an example of her attempts at ethics reform.

Following in her footsteps, presidential candidate Donald Trump is doing the same but upping the ante.

Speaking with reporters on board his private jumbo jet, Trump said that if elected president of the United States, he will auction off Air Force One, the presidential plane, on eBay.

“I will have no need for Air Force One. I have my own plane. Think of the millions of taxpayer dollars that would save our government,” he said.

Asked about Marine One, the presidential helicopter, Trump said he will raffle off it off among county firefighting units across the country to help them put out forest fires or use for emergency rescue.

What about the White House?

“I will make it part of the group of museums in the National Mall on Washington D.C. I will live in one of the Trump Towers.”

Is it any wonder that Trump is surging in the polls?

SINGER CHRIS BROWN ESCAPES FROM MANILA, IS NOW SAFE AND SOUND IN HONG KONG

HONG KONG (The Adobo Chronicles® ) – Grammy Award winner Chris Brown has eluded immigration authorities in the Philippines and is now safe and sound in Hong Kong.

Brown was in Manila for a one-day concert on Tuesday and was prevented from leaving the country because of fraud charges brought against him and his promoter in connection with a New Year’s Eve concert last year.  The singer failed to show up for the scheduled gig at the Philippine Arena, even after being paid $1 Million in advance.

Hong Kong authorities said that Brown arrived holed up in the wheel well of a China Airlines jumbo jet.  That he survived the two-hour flight from Manila below freezing cold weather at oxygen-depleted heights without dying or falling out of the wheel well was in itself, a miracle, the authorities said.

However, this is not the first time a person has attempted to do this.

In 2014, a 16-year-old boy survived a five-hour flight from California to Hawaii after he sneaked into the wheel well of a Hawaiian Airlines plane.

Eyewitnesses said that early this morning, Brown asked immigration officers if he could step outside the airport terminal  where he was being held in order to smoke a cigarette. Just like most airports, the Ninoy Aquino International Airport is a smoke-free facility.  The officers led him into the tarmac, where he suddenly disappeared.

It was not until Philippine authorities received word from Hong Kong that they had realized what happened.

The immigration officers assigned to watch over Brown have been put on administrative leave pending investigation of the great escape.
