SAN FRANCISCO, California (The Adobo Chronicles, San Francisco Bureau) – Like any other shopping mall elsewhere, Westfield Mall in downtown San Francisco has its focal point when putting up its holiday decoration for shoppers and tourists to enjoy.

For the mall, its focal point is the preserved dome from the old Emporium Department Store.

For this year’s holiday attraction, Westfield decided to hang a giant Christmas Tree from the top of the dome.

So off went the interior designers and construction workers to build the tree in time for its unveiling this Thanksgiving weekend — the start of the holiday shopping season.

But alas, when the tree was unveiled yesterday, something was terribly wrong. They hang the tree upside down!

Embarrassed, the mall management immediately ordered the construction crew to redo the work and to make sure the tree is hung upright this time around.

KALINGA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Baguio Bureau) – Tattoo enthusiasts will easily recognize the name Whang-od. She’s the 100-year-old (and last remaining) Filipina tattoo artist (mambabatok) from Buscalan, Tinglayan, Kalinga, Philippines.

Canadian singer Justin Bieber who recently showed off his new upper torso tattoo wants to travel to the Philippines to get yet another tattoo from Whang-od.

But sources close to the Filipina legend told The Adobo Chronicles that the famed tattoo artist is not interested in tattooing Bieber.

”I heard he is a very bad, bad boy,” Whang-od said in her native language.

We feel sorry for Bieber.

BREAKING: Filipinos Banned From Traveling To U.S.

IMG_5239.PNGWASHINGTON, D.C. (The Adobo Chronicles, Washington Bureau) – Filipinos were shocked today upon hearing that the Philippines has been included in President Donald Trump’s new, expanded travel ban.

The U.S. State Department, however, clarified that the ban only applies to Filipinos who are not able to secure a visa to visit the U.S.

“It’s not really a change in policy,” a spokesperson told The Adobo Chronicles.

Whew!

All’s well that ends well.
