NEW YORK, New York (The Adobo Chronicles) – Teen idol Justin Bieber is suing Calvin Klein over a photoshopped image that the underwear company used in its most recent ad.
Bieber’s image in the ad was photoshopped to make him bigger with his muscles and you know what else.
“I’ve always been honest and straightforward with my fans,” Bieber said, “and to portray me in an underwear ad that’s not representative of the true me is just not kosher.”
Bieber sued Calvin Klein for an undisclosed amount plus a one-year supply of CK underwear.
SAN FRANCISCO, California (The Adobo Chronicles) – San Francisco’s Golden Gate Bridge is closing down for the weekend for its longest shutdown ever and first closure in more than 25 years.
The bridge will be closed from midnight Friday until 4 a.m. Monday morning so workers can install a moveable median barrier to prevent head-on collisions, according to a statement on the bridge’s website. Since 1970, there have been 128 head-on collisions that have resulted in 16 deaths, the Associated Press reports.
What bridge authorities are not telling the public is that during the 52-hour closure, film crews and actors will descend upon the bridge to shoot sequences of a sequel to “Planet of the Apes.” The Golden Gate Bridge had been prominently featured in the film’s earlier versions, including the 2014 film, ‘Dawn of the Planet of the Apes.’
“We had to keep this secret in order to avoid angry and adverse reaction from motorists who use the bridge daily to get in and out of San Francisco,” a bridge official who spoke on condition of anonymity told The Adobo Chronicles.
While non-film vehicles will not be allowed on the bridge for the duration of the closure, pedestrians can watch the filming from the Golden Gate Bridge Pavilion or the Marina.
The new sequel’s working title is ‘Planet of the Apes : The Twilight Saga Continues.’
Smart phone cameras galore at a recent Philippines ‘Royal Wedding’
Silicon Valley, California (The Adobo Chronicles) – The International Society of Professional Wedding Photographers (ISPWP) has filed a class-action law suit in San Francisco alleging that smart phone manufacturers like Apple, Nokia and Samsung have all but killed their profession and business.
There was a time when weddings were a profitable source of income for professional photographers and videographers, but all that has changed since smart phone companies started to manufacture and market their products that included high-resolution cameras and video recorders.
This situation couldn’t have been more evident than during the December 30 wedding of Philippine actress Marian Rivera and actor Dingdong Dantes, held in Quezon City (see photo) . Nevermind that it was labeled the “Wedding of the Century” and a “Royal Wedding;” the couple decided not to hire a professional wedding photographer. Instead, in their wedding invitation, they asked their invited guests to bring their smart phones and take as many pictures as they can and send them to the couple to put in their wedding album.
From all indications, it was by Philippine standards, a very expensive and extravagant wedding, but there was a zero bill for photography and videography.
The class-action suit is being watched very closely by wedding photographers all over the world. It could mean the end of their profession or a big boost to their business.
